ATTENTION! Registration for the BRWC tournament on pools 4/5 out of Pepin, WI closes in 16 days. Registration is available until 11:59pm on Tuesday, June 7 via the FishDonkey app. Let me know if you any questions or need help registering. Hope to see you on June 12!

This tournament and the CRR (catch, record, release) format could produce some more big bags, like the 1st qualifier did! Look for BRWC anglers to CRR some pools 4/5 pigs on June 12!

The Pool 4 bite is cranking up! Many different techniques are putting fish in the boat. Should be plenty of fish caught in the 1st Annual Slobtoberfest. I’m extending the entry deadline to 11:59pm on the Thursday, October 28. Hope to see you there! Call or text Dan McGuire @ 715-308-5237 for more info.

I use a wide gap hook on 3-way rig and hook through the mouth. I tend to run a longer snell. Length will vary from 3-5′, sometimes 6′. I have a hard time finding them in area baitshops. Anyone have a good source for buying chubs, I’m willing to drive if their good chubs! Thanks.

Thanks TransAm, I guess that was what I was mostly curious about. Thanks for the response PmB, have never used an electric filet knife. I’ve always used a GOOD OLD KNIFE myself and just wondering if there was something quicker or more efficient. Thank you.

Really like my quickfish 3i. It has seen a lot of use and is always comfortable and durable. Pleased with how easy it goes up and down to keep me portable.

Have fished out of my friends 949i a few times. I have nothing but positive things to say about it. On one occasion we fished three big guys out of it and it performed just fine. I have the Quickfish 3i and love it! My 3i has seen a lot of use and I am very pleased with the quality and durability. Glad I went with the insulated version as I have had it out in below zero temps on several occasions and always stayed comfortable (I don’t like fishing with a coat on!). I haven’t fished out of any other hub house, so can’t make a comparison, but I know I would buy another eskimo.

After reading all the good things about Baffin, here and other places, I ordered a pair of Baffin Snow Monsters. Very happy with them so far. Extremely warm and surprisingly light weight!

I have some DH Customs and TUCR as well. I like them all & they all have their purpose. My two favorites are the DH El Dente – 30″ w/ ABS handle & TUCR Precision Noodle – 28″ w/split grip (wish it was 32″). I really like the ABS handle option on the DHs. In my opinion the ABS provides more sensitivity than my other rods with cork or EVA/cork, giving me the benefit of noodle sight rod and a feel rod.

I run mine as the manual recommends, it’s only a few inches in the water. Have not had an interference issue and best thing is very few ducer tangles bring fish up the hole!
