I just set up my Helix 9 for ice fishing. Didn’t want to have it just sit around all winter! Needed to buy the ice ducer xi9-20. This picture was from Friday on Mille Lacs. Battery might be an issue. My 6 year old 7ah battery lasted only 4 hrs. I just went and bought two new 9ah batteries at Fleet Farm so next time I go out I can comment on power consumption.

P.s. I loved this new set up and It will be hard to go back to my Ice35 after using this, so I’m hoping my new batteries will do the trick.

I too, a virgin to pool 4 will be heading out this weekend. Any tips you could send me, much appreciated. With the warm weather, I am sure the dam will be jamming. Any other good spots?

Also, is Evert’s the only spot to launch this time of year?
