I believe in quality deer managment for the experienced hunter. If you are a beginning hunter i think you should take a shot at a deer that is with in range no matter the size. It could take years to shoot a deer if you are waiting for giant buck to harvest for your first years hunting. After a few years of hunting I believe that you should wait for a mature deer before shooting it. If i myself see a deer that has bad genetics i will try to take it out of the herd for the future. I will also try to take 1-3 does off the land every year.

Personally I myself would take a taller deer over a wider deer any day of the week. A taller deer seems to me that it would score better than a wider deer. Don’t get me wrong i like a wide deer as well but if i have to make a split second decision i would take the taller of the two.

Keep taking him. He’ll grow out of it. the first time I took two of my sons, each of them had stepped in a hole within 15 min, but now I very seldom fish alone.

Love the cjs tackle. The smallest slender spoon works on almost everything. Matter of fact, that hybrid came on the gold/chartruse.

As for taking the kids, I’m just hoping they’ll remember all the times I took them when I’m 60.

Deluxe247, it’s a 10 7/8″ gill and a tiny kid that make it look huge

Great perch jig. Rapala used to make them quite some time ago, now Hali makes one version. They call them Jiggers in Okoboji, IA. It’s about a 1.5″ slender vertical jig painted with a gold chain dropper/single hook. One of many people’s main perch rig.

Here’s some pics of my kids this year. They love to come along. All fish were CPR.

I used a product called TearMend when the mice used my otter for a hotel last fall. Worked pretty well.

Thanks for the suggestions fellows. Any other ideas for interior design would be greatly appreciated. Lights, bunks, table, cabinets….

You won’t be dissapointed. Both are great units. I have the lx-5 and if I had to buy another for one of my kids, it would be a Marcum.

Either they had the very first fl-8 with no IR feature, or they don’t know how to adjust their Vex. I fished in same shack with my lx-5 and my buddy’s fl-8 with no problem. Just some minor adjustment from both of us and both screens were clear.
