Had a good weekend, got out on about 6 lakes and caught a nice mixed bag. 2 nice largemouth and a 30” pike too. Ice varied so much between lakes, some had as much as 7”, others barely 2”

Yeah I have my ice picks and will check ice every so often. Cant wait! I like my chances at finding some good ice

I plan to call some bait shops in the area to check but I feel good about those smaller lakes that don’t get too deep. Thanks for the tip on Pine Mountain Lake, I’ll check it out

I fish all the time on Blackwater in the summer, but I think it is too deep to have any solid ice this early. Blackduck is quite a bit north but who knows, I have time
