14 seconds, how is that possible?

    Oh yeah, face-offs aren’t important.

    Simplify the game.

Shoot the puck, get dirty in front of the net.

They are expending to much energy passing the puck around the edges and then after a long shift with a lot of pressure and no good opportunities are exhausted after a long shift and getting torched.

Way to much chasing the play and the puck, gripping the stick to tight and thinking to d@m much.

The lack of scoring is getting to the whole team. It’s all in their heads. Simplify and dumb the game down.

Well nothing to see last night. Same old same old from the 1 goal wonder kids.

Another PK fail with yet ANOTHER goal surrendered less than 20 seconds into the kill. Could the PK suck any worse?

    Hartman. Useless. Absolutely useless.

Faber was the only thing good about last night. He was on the bench yelling at the guys the whole night trying to make something happen.

And finally the cute no look passing us driving me crazy.

    Ug

Wth is wrong with Hartman, he looks like he’s got his tighty whities all crusty and severally bunched up.

Boldy, my word he has perfected the art of doing nothing meaningful for long stretches.

The dumb no look passes to nobody has bugged me forever. Fun to watch when it works. Unbearable when it doesn’t, which is far to often.

Spurgeon is still small. He absolutely has proven his worth on pp1, he’s earned the failure of that not being his anymore. Put Faber on the pp1.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines are darn near worthless.

Man do we need Ek and Middleton back. They are like the big brothers of this team.

Been a fun year and didn’t expect them to be as good as they’ve been. To even make a 1st round competitive in the playoffs they’ll have to be healthy and firing on all cylinders. The lack of any other line generating any points is brutal. The bottom lines have to start making some sort of impacts. The penalties through the skid shows how this team has to win. Five on five, with as few penalties as possible. With how bad the specialty teams are, and have been, it’s like having a burst frozen pipe for years. Arses need chewing and is unacceptable for as defensively and goalie talented as this team can be and is.

If Boldy gets one stupid penalty in the offensive zone tonight he needs a serious arse chewing and be demoted to the 3rd line.

Middleton is out for the rest of the game, so he broke something…. Russo reported all the Wild GM’s are huddled in the team press box…

    Unbelievable

The whole team looks off lately. Seems like they are struggling to find good chemistry and everything is hurky jerky.

Like the line switch up, Jojo with KK and Rossi worked last night.

Boldy had a great goal in the shoot out and blocked out the rest of his game. He’s young, he’s talented, he’s young, he’s talented and got the shoot out goal. When Boldy looks for and finds open ice he is way better than when he doesn’t.

Thought the defense as a whole was terrible last night. Merrell has been playing pretty well all season, but his old habits came roaring back last night. Bogo is typically a simple player, when he doesn’t dumb his game down him and Merrell both can look brutally bad.

The urine and vinegar Rossi has in him is really fun to watch. He does not back down and is a spark plug that once he starts rolling is fun to watch.

Really odd to see Jojo fighting in front of the net. Have a feeling Jojo might be seeing more minutes with KK and Rossi. Without Ek and Zuccy, moving pieces around to find the right combos for each night is going to be interesting to watch. So different than Dean’O’s coaching style.

How they won that game last night is beyond me. Gus wasn’t at his best. The defense sucked. Lots of shots but no real scoring chances in the first. That was a gutsy win fighting through some bad breakdowns.

Its a good thing this game isn’t locally televised, Basseyes would be gloating bigtime with how bad a game Boldy is having….

Watching the game. Jojo looking pretty good playing with KK and Rossi. Nice goal by Who-dee-nets-dah-cough. Boldy is young and will have an off night once in a while, and that’s OK.

    Dear Boldy,

Sorry for going scorched earth on you. Will try to remain positive with you and point out the good vs dwelling on the bad. You are not a dip poop head dummy butt. Just a frustrated hockey fan in the state of Minnesota who’s favorite player was Neal Broten growing up and really want the cup to be lifted in this town at some point. I have faith you and KK can lead us to the promise land hoisting that cup. All be it with some major deep seated mental anguish from watching the state of the state of hockey for over 4 decades and losing the Stars. Norm still sucks, still don’t like them in Dallas and nobody will ever change my mind on RS.

Yep, raw 40 acres in st louis county we own went up 25%ish. Over 2 decades of owning it and only ever caught 1 other assessor on tcams on the property. Now it magically goes up 25%. Thanks, that is a fun surprise.

Did the value of the property go up, or did something else change. Last year for me it was the change in homestead credit, this year it was just a change in the rate. My property value goes up every year but is pretty consistent. Don’t think anyone’s ever been to my property to assess as of yet.

We are up by the Sax-Sim Bog birding area. Been noticing the last year a lot of properties on onx owned by “The Conservation Fund”. The group Friends of Sax-Zim Bog have been buying property the last few years and there’s been some land transfers going on for a while in the bog. The friends went from owning/managing a small amount of acreage, to now this year I think they are over 25,000 acres in the bog. Between the two groups they are snatching up land in a land grab it seems to protect the bog. Then we got our tax statement recently and the wife opened it up and asks how did our taxes go up that much? We’ve been working on the property for wildlife for yrs and no real improvements other than that. Only difference is we are a half mile from friends of the bog land and close to the new forest they’ve been trying to create for a while now. We worked with the dnr and nrcs on some habitat improvements through a whip program and one of the dnr employees told us the land in the area was in the dnr’s crossbars because of how close it is to a river. That was 2 decades ago. Those river watersheds are something the dbr is after and trying to protect. Not sure if between the birders, which have deep pockets and are highly motivated currently and funded, if that’s part of it? Seemed really odd to us and will be calling some neighbors up there to see if their taxes went up as well. Taxes are still cheap comparatively, but there’s less and less private land in tax payer hands in the area, and more and more in state or conservation organizations hands, maybe that plays a role, I don’t know? A high percentage of deer camps folded the doors a couple years after the 2014 winter when the deer herd tanked. Some new groups came in and all have been good people. So not sure if maybe people buying those camps helped raise values as well?

27 games into Kaprizov’s 23 year old season: 10g-15a-25p and we declare him savior of the franchise

27 games into Boldy’s 23 year old season: 12g-15a-27p and Basseyes declares him a dumbass dipshit who has something wrong mentally and plays soft

He can both be soft and still score. Not saying he isn’t talented. He’s playing with KK, so guess who gets all the attention. He’s young, but sometimes his hockey iq isn’t stellar. Again, not saying he’s not gifted, talented and fully understand he’s still young. Just want more out of him because he has way more to offer talent wise than what we are seeing. Hoping he grows into a dominant player, and yes we all know his stats. Keep posting them like nobody knows that stuff already. RS had great stats too but was/is a douche canoe. Not comparing him to RS, cause I don’t think Boldy is or ever will a cancerous tumor stuck in second gear his whole career. But stats aren’t everything. What would Jojo’s stats look like if he played with KK every shift? Probably way better than they are now, and Boldy is far more talented than Jojo ever was, is or could be. Don’t hate Boldy, he’s just as frustrating to watch at times for me as Jojo. Probably more so because of how gifted the kid is. When he looks for and finds open ice playing without the puck he’s phenomenal. When he gets lazy and stands still he’s awful, which he does a lot more than I like to see and that is an issue he has. But if that’s acceptable because he’s got good stats now, imagine what those same stats would be if he was more in tune to the little details. Hopefully he keeps learning the devils in the details and can add another level to his game in the next couple years. If he can, he’ll be an absolute beast of a dominant player not far behind KK. That’s what I want out of the kid.

Not denying he’s talented or his stats. Kirk Cousin’s stats are off the charts over his carrier. Boldy is wickedly talented, like with a capital W. He’s just got so much more potential and would like him to be the dominant player he has the skill level to be. He seems to lack confidence or self-esteem or something. He’s young and still have hope the kid can get some mam fat and push back to his game. Just irritating how soft he plays at times and how loosey goosey he is. If you had to loose a player to injury a week before the playoffs started would it be Ek or Boldy? It’s not all about just stats.

Couldn’t watch the game live, watched it late last night.

Yeah, Jojo is soft, everyone knows that in the nhl. But he is at least engaged this year more often than not. Last night a certain number 12, aka dumb arse dip ch!t sat around puck watching like a scared or bored 10 year old kid. Something is wrong with Boldy mentally. He is so high and/or wide it’s hysterical. Yeah, everyone does it in the nhl, but he’s perfecting it. The penalty where he gets pushed into the goalie is a bit of a stretch bad call, but we got away with a few last night. Bogo got away with one that absolutely was a penalty. NHL ref”F”ing, if someone really figures it out, write another book about the code.

Team as a whole seemed grumpy and just off. Kings are stingy defensively and our offense just couldn’t bury anything.

Have had my questions and doubts about Boldy for a while. Wickedly talented youngster. But his physicality is really lacking for his size, his puck watching gets old, his decision making skills when he has time to think is troublesome. He needs to start just getting shoots on net. Not sure who Rossi had as a trainer but Boldy needs to spend next summer living with that person 24/7. Rossi is a beast on the puck and seems to be emulating Ek in his young carrier. Boldy is on the top line and seems to be emulating Jojo. A cardboard cut out set in front of the net could score goals in this league with KK and Rossi. So many times last night from the pp to in our defensive end Boldy wasn’t moving at all. His lack of movement without the puck last night was staggeringly obviously horrible. His inconsistency of effort is irksome. Might start a score sheet on him and Jojo falling down with and without contact. Currently Boldy might win that race, and that’s not a good thing to be compared to Jojo who falls down constantly.

Was fine with the effort and the look of disgust on the wilds players losing like last night. They need a reality check. Was not fine with Boldy’s effort at all. He had zero fight in him and looks like a guy who has zero push back a lot of the times when stuff didn’t go his way. He needs to get way more mentally and physically tougher. Know he’s young and wickedly talented, but he’s got so much talent and potential that seems wasted a lot of the time. His ceiling is so high for his ability, just not sure he has what it takes long term with what is or isn’t between his ears. He needs to grind through his bad games and do something positive even if everything is going wrong for him on the ice. Chisholm didn’t have a good game but kept on grinding through it.

Last night it seemed like the exhaustion of not having Ek, Brodin or Zuccy really showed up. Which isn’t surprising. Team has way outplayed their pay scale comparatively. With a couple days off, hopefully the team can get a little r&r and bounce back. Will be interesting to see how the next game goes after a tough loss.

Thank gowd the refs swallowed their whistles, Kirill should have been called…

That was the make up call for the crosscheck on Ek. It’s how the nhl ref’s work.

Wild looked tired midway through the 2nd and the 3rd was not a great period for them. Everyone, even Faber and Brodin looked off. Gus didn’t look terrible, but didn’t look as quick as he has so far this season. Boldy looked tentative and tired. KK’s turnovers are usually not a big deal because of his point production, but a few turnovers weren’t good last night.

Hartman and Freddy were noticeable and other than that the team looked sluggish in the 3rd.

Spurgeon wasn’t great on a couple board battles.

    Middleton looked gased.

Trenin is a major liability at this point. I just don’t see his upside at all yet.

Jets are just deeper and a good team with one heck of a goalie. Even if the shot total wasn’t all grade A scoring chances, a couple of those pucks might of slid through a lot of other goalies in the league.

First period was fun hockey to watch. Few stoppages and good puck movement up and down the ice. Jets are a good team and no reason to get to off track losing to them and Buck. He’s a stud net minder and the main reason the jets are doing so well this year.

Flush this one down the crapper and forget about it.

Getting a point against the Flames with the calls and puck luck not going their way, without KK and Zuccy is a big point. That should’ve just been a lost 2 points but somehow they snuck a point out of a ugly game. The amount of money not on the ice is nutso. Being able to snag points in games like that is way better than zero points and a loss in regulation. Not a fan of the shoot outs, but a point is a point. Have no illusions that this team is short in a lot of areas, but they are grinding out points somehow someway.

Hopefully KK is ok and nothing lingering.

Wth is wrong with nhl ref’s? Seriously, it’s getting worse and not sure how that’s possible? And yes it’s gone for us too. Just call the game.
