Surprising… I would have thought Trudeau would welcome them with open arms ??? He sure thought we should.

No clue on Ek and no explanation. Hockey is such a weird sport.

No matter what BG thinks about centers and not needing them, they are a pretty d@m big deal for the pp, pk and the overall game in general. The amount of puck chasing this team does is idiotic. Especially on the pp and pk. And to bad teams. Not a BG hater but not in love with a gm who completely disregards the center position as almost meaningless. We all get there aren’t many great centers available for cheap, but if this roster had a top shelf center on the dot and in front of the net, this team would be miles ahead of where they are. Love Ek and Rossi is still developing, but other than that this team is on life support on must win face-off percentages on the pp or pk.

Thanks again to all the volunteers!

This needs more acknowledgement! Some of the BS these poor folks have to put up with around the country (thankfully not so much in MN) is just sad…
I thanked the volunteers as I walked out of my polling station…

    Same, thanked everyone I could.

In a state where the presidential candidates are elected by roughly 10% of the counties, feel like my vote really doesn’t matter on national races.

Presidents are elected by people, not counties. Your vote matters, thank you for voting.

Correct. A high percentage of the population lives in a small number of counties that lean one direction. Obviously the majority of rural county voters lean the opposite direction. They just don’t have the population numbers to make Minnesota be anything other than a one color state in the presidential elections since Nixon.

Where we live in Isanti County the volunteers really do a great job and it’s a small community of rural people. Was in and out quickly. Probably the least amount of people we’ve seen voting. Wife went in a little earlier than I did and was smooth sailing. Tip of the cap to the volunteers! In a state where the presidential candidates are elected by roughly 10% of the counties, feel like my vote really doesn’t matter on national races. Voted for who I wanted to and was surprised they were even on the ballot. Would love to see a viable 3rd party option vs just two choices that don’t seem like much of a choice.

Thanks again to all the volunteers!

Thanks to all the individuals throughout our history who died, shed blood and fought for our right to vote!

Just did a couple old elk hides we had from way back in the early 2000’s. Fleshed and salted them right away back then. They were in my folks basement for a long time till my dad died. Then sat in a shed and somehow didn’t get any mice activity over a few yrs. Dug them out and went through the process of getting the hair off and tanning them. Now they are on a big stretching setup and am surprised how good the hides still are. Fun project. Did deer choppers in my teens with hair on and had those for a long time. Hoping I can get multiple pairs of chopper mitts out of the elk hides and use liners in them vs hair on. It’s a lot of work but a great thing for kids to learn about. Am going to try to do a couple deer hides as well. Got the orange bottles from Minnesota trapping company and if you buy 6 they are $8/bottle. Fast shipping and a Minnesota company, win win.

Kirill needs a new lower back pad… every single time he gets cross-checked in the back he goes down like he’s shot and then pouts to the ref. That cross-check play happens EVERY time any offensive player is along the boards, the refs only call it when it’s egregious…. I’m not saying it doesn’t hurt him, but I feel like the refs know he’s gonna go down if hit and think he’s embellishing it, He’s already done it twice tonight…

The cross checking penalty on Merrell wasn’t as bad as the multiple cross checks KK gets every game. Get what your saying but my word the inconsistencies in nhl ref’ing is mind numbing.

Crosby lays on top of Faber with a ref watching and glove punches him in the head multiple times, no call.

Cross checks Faber after the whistle like the little girl he is.

The slashes Brodin’s stick out of his hands to end the period.

Crosby is wickedly talented, but a little b I tee see H.

That is some garbage penalties. Crosby is such a pansy. God forbid someone should body check him.

Such a pansy! Can sit on top of Faber and punch him in the head multiple times with a ref watching and nothing. Then desperately skates away like a little girl.

Rough matinee for Gus, should be a mandatory goalie pull any time Nick Seeeler snipes. Really ugly stuff from Brodin today too

First game ever cringed multiple times watching Brodin. He’s so consistently good, hard to watch him have a bad game. Unless he was makimg a point to Boldy how special he looks falling down all on his own. It was a good impression of Boldy from Brodin if that’sthe case.

What a bizarre game. Gus looked slow and tired, the whole team looked waunky. Zuccy trying to fight and Boldy plowing the guy over was kinda indicative of the game, just weird not wild. Even Faber looked human and bumbullie.

Nice to see moose get a couple. Couple nice tips. A stinker game was coming. Hopefully they can flush that turd of a game down the crapper and forget about it.

He is not a shoot out guy at all.

Gumby sends her high and just a little outside after whiffing on a wide open net in ot, go figure. The maddening of Boldy continues. So talented and yet such a head case at the same time.

Apple trees can get rust from Cedars or junipers, something to be aware of when planting apple trees.

Personally I would drive to Ahlmans for that type of service.

    X2!

Something like that wouldn’t want a hack touching it.

Ahlman’s is a weird place but they do good work. Last thing they did for me was on an o/u that had a firing pin brake. They’ve worked on the gun before and opened the chokes, turned the stock English and re-did the finish on the stock and forearm. Thrilled with everything They’ve done to the gun.

i see the 2024 map is online. i dont see much for change, especially up in the northern part.

    our group respectfully hunts anterless zones 169 and 197;
197 is the leech lake res and has 200 permits’
    169 has 25 permits???

why even issue permits in 169. or in 197 for that matter??????????/

Have land in 178. Last yr they gave out 150 doe tags. After zero winter, thought it’d go up or at least stay the same. Nope, it dropped to 25. We don’t apply for doe tags and have pretty much given up on deer hunting the area. If the numbers are that bad, make it a bucks only area.

Assuming the wet weather took a toll on the fawns?

How does it go from 150, have zero winter and drop to 25?

Hunter numbers in the area have fallen off a cliff.

We need more researchers to research the current research and researchers. Hopefully we can lower the unemployment rate by creating more governmental jobs to rubber stamp the current rubber stampers. That is how things get done efficiently and effectively, keep people employed and solve problems, with more people to bet on the weather. The dnr and our state leaders are an absolute embarrassment. They could plug up an outhouse, find 100 plumbers to try to figure out why the dumb thing won’t flush. Then cry for more money to find more plumbers. You just can’t fix the stupidity of a system that leans on a resume of failure.

Browning has a bogo sale on their site. I haven’t ran them yet but thinking of ordering a couple. I have heard really good things about them

Like browning tcams. Only dislike is sometimes the battery tray lever gets problematic.

Nice to see a southern state like Florida get a 4th cup. Makes me feel all warm a fuzzy being from the state of hockey and never really getting a sniff at one.

Not sure if Edmonton has got Florida figured out, or if Florida has just played way to much high energy hockey and has nothing left in the tank?

Florida looks physically and mentally beat. Didn’t see that happening at all.
