The Falcon Bucoo hasn’t been made in the USA for years now. They’re decent rods though. I’d go for the Tatula XT or a Fenwick in this price point

I do have one and it’s been decent. I prefer my Daiwa CTs though. The shape and size fit my hand better
June 29, 2023 at 2:46 pm #2211181If you’re looking for fish in that size range the chances go up fishing the Great Lakes. Chequamegon Bay, Sturgeon Bay (Door County), Erie, St. Claire, St. Lawrence, Huron, Ontario. There’s definitely 5-7 pound smallmouth elsewhere. Mille Lacs definitely has those fish. Other than the eastern basin of Erie, St Lawrence river, most of the places should be 16.5-18 hour drive from Dallas. Good luck with your planning
June 29, 2023 at 12:34 pm #2211137I was hanging out with her younger sister. She came around about a year later and that’s pretty much the story. We’ve been together since 2006, married since 2014

Man you’re relentless Dutch. Why not just post every inflammatory news article on IDO? Oh wait you do….The fact that posting this news release from our federal government is inflammatory to you says a lot.
May 3, 2023 at 9:17 pm #2200743I’m with the Garmin crew. I have three 93sv units on my boat and I really like them. So much better than the helix units I had. The ease of use, touchscreen make them so much nicer to use. I think the mapping and imaging is really good as well.
March 1, 2023 at 8:45 pm #2185528I had issues with it constantly shutting off like it was overheating. Randomly showing 20’ deeper than it actually is. Constantly having to reset it. My Garmin 93sv UHDs have been worlds better. I really enjoy the touchscreen but it also has shortcut buttons. See something on sidevu and I can pause the screen then mark a waypoint on what I want, rather than using the curser to scroll around. Just my experience
February 27, 2023 at 7:02 pm #2184895They do need an affordable touchscreen and something better than the Helix units. My experience with them was not good
September 23, 2022 at 4:04 pm #2148471Trails End on Lac Courte Orielles might be my favorite. Though I’ve had some other good one
October 5, 2021 at 9:40 am #2065303Dang, I thought I was on Bass Boat Central for a second here with the people trying to sabotage a thread so it’s removed. Only difference is half of the guys here didn’t even hide it. Straight asking for it to be removed. If you don’t like it, don’t open it. This is simple stuff. And for the record, I didn’t even watch the video
November 30, 2020 at 12:49 pm #1992652My 34×24 is scheduled to start next week. I did the concrete myself and will do the wiring. So for materials and labor on the structure, I signed a bid at $22,500.

1- 9’x8’tall insulated door
1- 18’8’tall insulated door
1- 36” insulated service door

Overhead door openers
2×4 sidewall 9’ tall
I had $800 in lumber just for my forms for the garage which I’ll use again to pour a new driveway. I figure I’ll have just under $30,000 into it. I live in Cedar Falls Iowa and with my lot size this is as big as I could build per city code. I really don’t have a choice about timing for mine. I had a 70’ oak tree uproot and level my existing detached lolOctober 31, 2020 at 12:11 pm #1984180A BassCat Caracal, Eyra, or Cougar probably with a Mercury. Twin poles. Humminbird mega+ console and bow with 360 mega and whatever live version they’re coming out with next year. I’d also probably get a livescope setup. Probably couldn’t get one of the boats that I mentioned rigged out like that for under $70000 haha
September 14, 2020 at 12:27 pm #1972222You absolutely can use craw style trailers on swim jigs. I’d be willing to bet that a rage craw and a zoom speed craw are two of the most used trailers for swim jigs. One thing about a craw trailer is they seem to give the bait more lift. They also give off more vibration. Where a curly tail grub has probably the least amount of lift and vibration. I’d say a paddle tail is somewhere in between. You can also use a traditional craw trailer like a Zoom chunk or paca chunk. These are good imo around bluegill because of the bulk it adds to the bait. Like any technique I don’t think there’s a one size fits all. Play around with different trailers and see how each one effects your jig. I pretty much only throw bluegill type or Shad colors.
May 14, 2020 at 8:59 am #1942301For chatterbaits I mainly use the Jackhammer or the Project Z which is a very nice chatterbait and can be had for around $5 on sale. As far as trailers I use a ZMan Razor shad at least 90% of the time. They’re just so durable and don’t mess with the action of the chatterbait like a boot tail swimbait can. Though if you’re fishing the chatterbait in a lift and drop manner, I could see the swimbait being good. The Zoom Z Craw rigged vertically is also a nice trailer.
May 13, 2020 at 6:51 pm #1942180I hope all goes well. Many of the “experts” have been wrong. Can’t stay shut down forever and live off the government.
September 26, 2019 at 9:14 am #1881034I actually have a Do It mold and I make my own. Though I have bought some off of Amazon and they worked very nice. Though the hardware needs replaced with some good stuff. Josh Douglas has a good video out there if you google it. He’s fishing it on Mille Lacs.
September 25, 2019 at 1:16 pm #1880881Not in Minnesota but I use them here in Iowa. Once the water temps drop below 50 the blade bait bite can be hot. Just cast out and let it sink to the bottom, and fish it like a jig. Just lift and drop. You’ll feel the bait vibrate on the way up. I usually lift it and feel 4-6 vibrations and let it drop
September 16, 2019 at 7:49 pm #1879458Each unit will come with a transducer. I run a SI at the console and DI on the bow. I have an Ethernet and share waypoints. Personally I’d see no real benefit in sharing a transducer.
August 1, 2019 at 11:40 am #1871044Tackle Warehouse, Land Big Fish have Bandit crankbaits. I’m pretty sure Cabelas and BPS also have them.
July 31, 2019 at 12:26 pm #1870812Storm Wiggle Warts are solid, also Bandit 100,200, and 300 are nice
July 8, 2019 at 8:41 pm #1866532The Ultrex and other gps lock trolling motors must’ve been so successful for those companies that others decided to join the party. Obviously the market it there. So Lowrance and Garmin have made their trolling motor release which look like great units with brushless motors. Word is Power Pole is also coming with one at some point. That said, I wish they were cheaper haha

Well, I hate to be the guy that does not take anyone’s advice, but ended up running across an amazing deal on 2 Diawa Ballistic LT reels for almost half price. I hope I don’t regret it, but I am going to give them a try! Thanks for all the input. I do have several of the Pflueger Arbors and like them, especially for lighter baits. You will NOT regret that. Might even turn you into a Daiwa guy……Just warning you. I was a Pflueger guy before I tried the Daiwas also.
Same here
April 7, 2019 at 12:52 pm #1848897No first hand experience myself, but every review I’ve read from guys on Bass Boat Central have said the Pascifun and Kastking reels have gone to crap after limited use. Personally for that money I’d grab a Daiwa
