Your right! I’m sure not complaining about walking out my back door and fishing for the smallies on the stretch around Monticello! I was just wondering about the Chippewa River as I haven’t fished it for years as I moved from Chippewa Falls with my parents many years ago.
At one time it also had some nice black crappies that I used to catch in the evening from shore, just upstream from the dam in town. Many nice memories of that town. Thanks guys for your replies to my question about the river. I appreciate it. By the way Kevin, great ad on the back cover of Catfish In-Fisherman!

I heard a few weeks ago that the main sponser was not going to host it this year. I will be checking with a friend of mine who owns a bait shop in Anoka and I will post more info when I can find out anything. Are you the same guy who owns River-Pro? Stopped up a few times to see you at your trailer in Monticello but you were out fishing. I live on the river a few miles south of Monticello. Definately interested in your boats. I notice that a few people that live on the river just upstream of me have your boat and I have also seen your tape.
