The reason we do the take a vet fishing event in late august is for a couple reasons. 1. weather typically not to hot and not to cold any later and rain is much more common any earlier and heat plays a role. 2. lots of the boats that help with the event are tournament anglers and typically speaking most tournament series are done by now. 3. I personally have ran this event for 8 yrs and have talked to every single veteran that has took part of the event and 90% of them arent to worried about if they catch fish they just want to get on the water. either way this yr was a monster success with 69 boats and 82 veterans if you were there i thank you and our club thanks you!

Well a huge thank you is in order! We had a great turnout of boaters and helpers this yr for the event! Thank you to all that came and gave us a hand either by bringing ur boat or by showing up and helping back in trailers! Pictures can all be found on the walleye searchers of MN Facebook page. Was a great event and the weather cooperated nicely! Just about everyone caught fish and had a smile at the end of the day! Thank you all and hopefully you would like to help next yr as well. The goal is to keep growing the event and invite more veterans but without boats we just can’t do that so thanks and have a great week everyone!

no need to do the angle drill bit….dorman makes a little bracket that bolts on and will apply pressure to the exhaust manifold and seal it right up. just google dorman exhaust manifold bracket for 5.3l….i have used them a couple times when customers want it done as inexpensive as possible and have had zero problems with them and they are super eaasy to install…hope this helps

could really use some boaters for this event if guys are willing to help out we will feed you and it is greatly appreciated by the vets. you will be fine with that boat on the bay…. fish should still be in the river or worse case scenario depending on ice very close to river mouths
