I’d assume flooding and high flow would adjust some sand bars , drop offs , contours in the river ? Maybe I’m wrong though ?
Just spend a little time to update on your AutoChart Live card – problem solved.

Not to highjack this thread but a similar question.
I have a Helix 10 SI Gen1 and adding a Helix 10 MSI G4N. I plan to use the old Helix for mapping only. If I want to connect the units together (sitting 10 inches apart) do I really need to get adapter cables and a 5 ft ethernet cable to connect them or is there another solution?
Thanks!
Definitely more than 100 hours. I have been charting on my zeroline card since 2018 (5 seasons). I backup the mapping files in case the card fails for any reason and I just checked the size of the folder and it shows 16.7 MB on 244 files.
Have you looked at the price of a new carb for it versus having it torn down and cleaned?
There are youtube videos to step you through the swap out process.
I have had good luck with Tunas Reel Troubles – good service and prices.

This site is pretty much anything and everything you want to know about Weber grills and more.
https://tvwbb.com/threads/weber-gas-grill-parts-source.76176/
I have used there references to get replacement parts that seem lots better than the Weber replacement parts.
Another thing to think about as you are spending all that time and effort making your custom maps is to be sure and backup your data from the zero lines card. If your card would be damaged or corrupted you would be SOL.
I back mine up 2-3 times per season to my Google Drive files – that way they are stored to the cloud and even if my zero lines card and PC happened to go belly up at the same time I would still be able to retrieve the data and reload a new zero lines card.
The BBC link in the post above has some info on how to backup the data files from a zero lines card.

How about a section of dock from the Lynxville float when it busted up in the spring flood a couple of years ago? There were sections floating all over in pool 10 with barrels detaching and floating down the creek….. Maybe it ended up there after the barrels/floats were gone and a nice current break?
My ’88 and ’00 Lund Rebels both had a single switch (turns the pump on/off) so no aerator option. If you want fresh water on the fish you have to leave the pump running and let the water discharge via the overflow pipe in the live well.
That is one reason I have a Costco membership. 3 racks of spare ribs for less than $30. Cub or Festival they are 15-20 for one. Meat prices are out of control right now.
Eye opener at Costco (Rochester) last week when ribs were on the menu for the weekend. Those $2.99 ribs are now $4.99.
I love it – fish the Mississippi.
Really interesting to see waypoints line up in an area that has been charted to update the real-time depths/contours compared to the Lakemaster card.
The autochart data is an overlay over your existing map and you can control how transparent the overlay appears on your screen. i.e. set it to your personal preference.
Second dose of Pfizer today. No ill-effects from round 1 – could feel the injection site if I rubbed it with my hand. So far so good today.
It seems to me that the polls of who will and will not take the vaccine would model very close to the responses from the folks on this site after following such responses for many years
Carry on boys…..
IMO, you are way better off planning as if these benefits did not exist because a lot of people have been burned believing that these benefits would be there, only to have the company discontinue them.
Bingo!
Not worth the piece of paper they may or may not be written on.
Another plus for the HSA that many folks don’t know about is that you can use those pre-tax HSA dollars to pay for Medicare ‘Insurance’ i.e. a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage plan. So once you hit the Medicare milestone it is another plus for having pre-tax HSA dollars available to pay for the insurance plan you opt for (if you opt for a supplemental plan).
And should you die before using all of your HSA funds for approved medical expenses the balance would pass on to your beneficiaries in the same manner as an IRA would.
There was a cat fisherman on here a few years back from down south – he had some videos and had one on the sinkers he made for 3-way rigs. Maybe you can find the post?
It was a loom/sleeve used for automobile electrical wiring – you can get lots of different sizes/diameters – and you fill them with lead shot to the weight you are looking for. One thought was they were more snag-proof as they are more like a slinky than a chunk of lead dragging on the bottom.
I made some up with a digital scale to determine the weight of the sleeves and they work great. Maybe an option if you can’t find the pencil weights you are looking for.

I started to make an annual 11 x 14 collage out of the ‘best of the best’ pictures each year. For the pics on my phone that are candidates of being collage worthy I save them to my google drive throughout the year – putting them in a new folder each year.
At the end of the year I go to the google drive folder and select the best of the best pics for the collage. I try to add one with each of the friends that spent a day on the water with me – those times are priceless regardless of the size or number of fish we caught!
Walmart has a simple online photo order process – upload your pics & put them in the location of your choice in your collage. You can print the 11 x 14 collage (poster) in the layout of your choice for $6-7. Then I pick up a cheap frame – $2-3 to put the collage in and they go on the wall of fame!
Tip- make sure to add the year via a simple text edit in some spot on a photo in the collage as the years tend to fly by!
I was wondering about the reduced possession limit after reviewing the changes to the WI DNR regs. I see where it shows the daily bag going to 4 fish in pools 3-8 however if the rest of the state is 6 daily and 12 in possession how would/could they expect the pool 3-8 fisherpeople to be limited to 8 fish in possession (and how could they prove that)?
“Mississippi River Fishing Regulation Changes Effective April 1
In Pools 3 through 8 of the Mississippi River, the daily bag limit for walleye and sauger will be four in total, with a 15-inch minimum length limit for walleye and none for sauger, and only one walleye or sauger over 20 inches allowed for harvest. In Pools 9 through 12, the daily bag limit for walleye and sauger will be six, with a 15-inch minimum length limit for walleye and none for sauger, a protected slot limit of 20 to 27 inches for walleye and only one walleye over 27 inches allowed for harvest.”
I don’t see any changes mentioned for the states to come to common ground on the other regulation differences either. i.e. 3 lines/baits versus 2, 2x daily bag limit in possession….
We have a Jotul Rockland fireplace insert – also an EPA compliant insert. They put a 6″ stainless liner (insulated) in when we had the insert installed (I think it was 2010). I would guess about 25′ of chimney and we have never had the screen on the cap clog up.
We typically go through about 1.5 cords of dry hardwood a winter.
Interesting that it seems to be a common theme across multiple stores/regions? I was at the Rochester store this week and the empty spots on the shelves were almost equal to the space with inventory and ‘20% off CLEARANCE’ signs everywhere. And it was not just a couple of departments as some have previously mentioned – it was end to end.
Makes ya think that ‘something’ is going on….
Any input on how ‘hook-free’ the various nets mentioned are?
I despise the amount of time it takes to untangle the treble hooks from any net I have used after they get a couple of years of use on them.
I bought the Frabill Conservation Series a few years ago based on being ‘tangle free’ however with use it is turning into a PITA to get the cranks out of the net and back in the water.
Pretty much bullet proof. Gas in the tank and a charge in the battery and you are good to go. I followed the 20 hour break-in recommendations in the owners manual. The dealer wanted me to use an aluminum prop for the 20 hour break-in period – not sure why but I did wait to put on the SS prop.
I checked FF in Rochester yesterday and didn’t see any on display. A large section next to the flicker shad / minnows was cleared – maybe a ‘work in progress’ for the new offerings?
Those look great Tom!
I am just starting to mess around with painting crankbaits – what do you use for clear coat?
Dumb question #2 here….
What would lead you away from the palomar knot to the modified uni knot for braid? The palomar has to be one of the easiest to tie and seems to be rated near the top in the various knot strength tests.
The BBC message board has an ongoing thread with lots of information regarding the digital depth issues with the Helix units. It took some tweaking but I got my Helix 10 to behave most of the time. Total PITA when you are using AutoChart Live – which uses the digital depth reading and you get corrupt data in the file.

x3 on the TWP stain. Tried just about everything over the years and it is the best I have found. I also get it at FF in the 5 gal bucket – it seems to go on sale every month or so during the summer months.
X2 on swap it.
I am curious why you guys would recommend swapping it out?
