well you went out in the middle of what has to been a pretty big cold front i cam in with 8 crappie yesterday 2 white bass and two small sauger caught the crappis in 30=32 ft and the sauger in 28

the plan is to stop breaking the ice up once it settles is what i h ave been told who knows… i had two guys out there yesterday call me and tell me that they made three passes with two barges.. but be for the ice got broken up the bite was strong and the guys haled off with just 2 shy of there limit

the croix is such a weird bite one day there on and you can slay em and the next i am poplin holes working hard, as for the ice it was safe be for this rain / snow storm hit there was a perm-init shack brought across the river and they were saying it just looked pretty hairy just cross with caution.. i cant vouch on how the ice conditions are now until i go down there later this morning when it gets a little lighter out but temps are gonna drop drastically hat should stir some things up

from what i have been hearing its been early morn and right be four dark drove down to bay port park and about 5 trucks were there talked to a few just coming off the river and the bite was tough

Yea… so speaking of some EYE wheres mine still waiting Reports on the is about 5 / 5 1/2 inches of ice out of Bay Port crappies are in about 33 ft of water we were using a purple tungsten jig, with a Lucky crappie minnow. I have a question if any one knows the answer it would be helpful. Is the barge going to be breaking up the ice on the Croix all winter long and how far down will it be breaking up the ice

went out and checked out the ice and there’s a good 4 inches i have people contacting me about going out tomorrow morning i would say its OK but proceed with caution

well i drove my kid to his grandmothers tonight and i drove the river several times today there is ice going from the stillwater bridge down to bayport i will give it two days and check the thickness

I have been talking with quite a few people they said the bite was a bit tough yesterday lots of fish on the finder and it has been a decent bite today

when we went out this week the early morning bite was a bit better then later in the afternoon pink chicken jig with small crappie minnow

u can also tell its old cause he looks 5 years younger

Clam has redone there big foots once again because the 4000 had huge problems last year this year they have come out with a new Jason Mitchell model in the hub style i have checked it out and i think you should to they are top notch
