First, second and third place cashed checks using Willow Cats. 5 of the top ten finishers used ’em to cash checks.
Those of you who have not fished this bait should really give them a try. They can be rigged, jigged, trolled up, drifted down. They are a very hardy bait fish and are easily kept over long periods of time. Give ’em a try!

Next time your out on pool 4 try 3- wayin Phelps floaters with a 16″ lead to head and a 4 inch dropper to 3-3.5 oz egg. We got out yesterday and did real well considering the conditions we were facing. 1 5.5# Eye,3 16-18″ saugs, and 4 14″ eyes. Only 1 of the small eyes took a fathead the rest of the “gamefish” we caght all took willowcats.
Boy is that current blowin. We couldnt keep 2 oz down so we went to 3-3.5 oz and that seemed to be the ticket.
    Just a suggestion

I put some guys on to a few spots yesterday after figuring out that they had never fished pool 4 before and told them to stop in after they pulled the boat out and give me a field report. When they came back only 3 hours later I thought I maybe had put them on spots that hadnt quite warmed up yet. Nope! They had done well fishing; it was their gas tank not doing well; it was empty!
In about hour and a half they had caught 6 fish, so the bite hasn’t completely shut down!
