Northwestern is having a down year. Nebraska is very winnable. Iowa and Wisconsin will be tough. I think we go 2-2 in those games.

Looks like Shannon Brooks will be back good time to bring him back. Purdue shouldn’t be a problem but it’s Mn sports anything is possible. After firing the Def coordinator with I think 2 games left in the season last year. And def coming up huge against the badgers I was very optimistic for this year. Haven’t seen the def yet. So hopefully they can fix a few things this week and keep it rowing.

Sounds like I should go with a bait caster. I would say the majority of his fishing will be from shore. Sounds like the baitcaster will give him the power he needs to bring em through the weeds and such surrounding the shoreline.

I bought him a cheap setup with a bait caster 6-7 years ago and he barely used it cause of all the backlash. It could be operator error since I have never used one myself.

Thinking about heading out to pepin early Saturday morning. I’m a novice fisherman. Is it worth a very early
morning to fish and try and beat the heat.

Monday, Lake Pepin. Just got done cleaning fish the boy was carrying the cooler to the truck. Game warden stopped him asked a few questions looked at the filets. Came
Into the fish cleaning station asked me a few questions told me what I did wrong (no skin tag) my bad. Took my license back to the truck. Gave me a verbal warning and left. No personality at all. No small talk all business. The boy asked what was the matter with him? That was my first run in and hope it’s the last.

Launched for Hok Si Lah pulled cranks and dub. Rigs with jigs. New to walleye fishing and the river. Had no luck with cranks and little luck with jigs. 2 eyes and 2 foot long crappies. I think I need to run my cranks deeper had a 1/2 ounce sinker with a #5 Rapala one one rod and a Salamo 14-18 diver on another rod. I did notice that half the boats on the river were right off the point at Hok. Does anybody care to share the techniques used to fish that?
