This is a dominance issue. The dog needs to understand you are the alpha in his pack.
I had a similar situation once and what I ended up doing was flipping the dog on his back to expose his belly or even picking him up by his feet for even a hint of nipping behavior.
Follow this up with making him sit until you release him to eat. Never let the dog go through a doorway before people.
He needs to know who’s the boss. Once the dog figured out he wasn’t in charge he turned in to a wonderful family member.

Actually not true. As you said amp hours is amp hours. When you put batteries in series the amp hours remains the same.
2 each 12v 80 amp hour batteries wired in series is still 80 amp hours at 24v.
Parallel wiring is a different story but the batteries must be matched and charge equalized. 2 each 24v 80ah batteries in parallel would be 24v 160ah.

If it won’t haul a full sheet of plywood or a chest freezer with the tailgate closed it’s not a truck. It’s just a Ute.

I pulled that from getting quotes for commercial insurance.
The $2K number is for consumer insurance.

Apparently this exact situation unfolded in Austin, TX. They pulled out of that city for a year and then returned.

They pulled out of Austin for a month.

The problem is insurance. Without having a large established corporation commercial insurance will cost individual drivers $1000 to $5000 per month. Most drivers don’t make that in a month.
That’s over and above the required personal insurance.

The problem is that the drivers are only getting paid 25¢ to 50¢ per mile and they have to cover all their own expenses including tires, gas, insurance, maintenance etc.
Uber/Lyft keep everything the passenger pays above that.
Hoe much driving would *you* do for 50¢?

For me I like chili to have a gravy rather than a sauce.
Take a few tablespoons of masa flour and blend it with enough water to make a roue. Add it to your chili just before you add the beans or in the last 15 minutes of simmering .
It really fills out and finishes the dish.

Any of the recipes are great. I like to sub venison or elk for the meat. If you want something interesting that catches the judges eye use squirrel.

I am a Rideshare driver and big in to dashcams. The best bang for the buck is the Coxpal A11T. About $160 on Amazon with all the features you will need. WiFi to send video to your phone or tablet. 3 channels – front, rear and cabin – easy clean install. Their tech support is great and responsive. Get the hardwire kit.
If you have some more budget look on Amazon for Vantrue. I actually have a NIB Vantrue 4 channel demo unit I could sell you cheap.
Stay away from the $40 specials. You will hate them.

I know it’s heresy but I can load full sheets of plywood or 10’ lumber in my Honda minivan, shut the door and keep it dry in the rain.
I have hauled pallets worth of cinder blocks and concrete without a problem.
Sorry guys, but if you can’t load a sofa or a chest freezer and shut the tailgate it’s not a pickup truck, it’s just a Ute.

The thing that burns my britches is that I am not a pro sports guy and any of the cable services most of the costs are to pay for the sports networks. The $150 contracts would be $40 if you could opt out of sports.
I used to work for a cable provider and ESPN required that 80% of cable subscribers paid for ESPN otherwise they would blacklist the provider.
Because of that the cable providers force the sports networks on everybody.
It is much like cities and states forcing taxpayers to fund sports arenas and other facilities whether the citizens vote for them or not. Someone should be in prison for that.

I’m doing General Tso’s with egg rolls and rice. My favorite.
Also cracking open a bottle of 15 year Bourbon to put warm in a glass.

What works for me is a mix of Hulu, Disney/Paramount and Netflix/Starz. I only have two active at once and rotate every few months.
I was a big Amazon prime fan but they are now forcing ads and ad supported services on you so I deep sixed them. Walmart Plus is cheaper and faster for shopping anyway and includes Disney/Paramount.

I supplement this with a dual tuner OTA PVR (six channels) and record the shows I want to watch on my schedule. My PVR has a commercial skip feature.
I tried a lot of OTA antennas and This outdoor Omni (no rotating) antenna is great. https://xrplovemk.life/product_details/8039497.html

I have a RYOBI 80V riding mower and I love it. My yard is 1 acre in front and two hilly/sloped acres in back. I can easily do either yard on a charge, both if I pay attention and don’t waste time. The batteries are three years old.
I love not having to deal with gas cans or oil changes or air filters or tune ups. Just jump on and go.
It is heavy so a lift for changing blades is a necessity. The electrics are pricey but buy once cry once.

Personally I would have liked to see Paul and Babe on the flag. What they have now is just a copy of any of dozens of other flags with the colors changed. Someone was lazy. Designed by an intern with a paint app.

    Two thoughts here.
For an attractant sprinkle Parmesan cheese on the food. It is a cheap common flavorant that does a great job of triggering appetite.
Also, with a sudden change in appetite check your dog’s teeth and gums. Smell their breath. I had to have two abcessed teeth removed from my 9 year old Britt and the change in attitude and appetite was amazing.

Full disclosure, I have hunted quail (most fun ever) partridge and dove in the Arizona desert but I am a total neophyte at ruffed grouse.

Tomorrow I plan on walking Port Hope and Buena Vista RGMAs, just because they are close and north of town. Paul Bunyan RGMA will be next.

I think I have accepted that getting off the trails and pushing the brush is a necessity. I understand that new growth Aspen is a target area.

Is there a time of day that the grouse move to or from water? Or seed?

Any advice you have for finding birds would be treasured.

I agree with the statement that squirrels are easier to skin before the meat cools. Once the squirrel cools down it’s like the skin glues itself to the meat.

If you are worried about bacteria there would be nothing wrong with carrying a baggie of salt and dusting the carcass with it after skinning and gutting. You’re going to brine soak it anyway, right?

Maxx is a 9 year own rescue who was raised in a barn. He knows how to hunt and we are working on house manners. I love that he doesn’t know how to bark. Lol

I don’t know bout you guys. I’ve shot some of my best deer on stand with a smoking cigar clenched in my teeth.
In my experience sound and motion are much greater repellents than scent.

As an aside, the most effective blind for me has been a fence of wooden pallets with local grasses stuffed in the gaps.
I swear they don’t look past the three stalks of grass between me and them.
I’ve had deer walk up within a dozen feet of my pallet blind. Not even wearing camo, just a carhart jacket and jeans with the required orange.

I do and I don’t mind. It’s $10 if neutered. I’ve spent more than that in bars on women I don’t like.

Thanks. He is an older hunter with a little arthritis but that applies to me too. We are pretty evenly matched.
We were in the 2nd south most RGWMA in the state (Two Inlets) and we plan on going more North next time. I suspect this one has been hunted out.
Of course being old and out of shape we stuck to the main trails. We might have to beat deeper in to the brush.
