As a part owner and operations guy at Rack Shack I thank you all for the comments. BBQ is a great thing like fishing, that brings us together.

It was a large drive with a large group. When it was over 2 of 14 knew what had happened. We did everything we could do at the time we found out which was unfortunately after the hunt. We were in our trucks going home. We are by the books. Please don’t let this story about this paint a picture that my group is a bunch of reckless hunters. One bad egg.

Like I explained, I know what’s right. I put this on a forum to show the others in my group to change their mind if they are wavering on a decision. I’m with you all. I don’t want him back and won’t hunt if he come back. Why would the whole party get in trouble? Where we hunt you can party hunt does.

Yep thanks for asking. I did. This guy has been a good friend for 20 plus years. I know what’s right but it’s a tough to have to break up a tradition like that because of his stupid decisions. Hope that clears it up.

Everyone is absolutely furious and embarrassed. He did a really poor job of explaining the situation. We had no idea until after the hunt. We told him go get it or we will do it for him and turn him in basically. He claims he went down today to look for it and turn it over to the dnr. Said he couldn’t find it. Its a horror story. The person to stop him was the one who told us all about it. He advised the person who shot the deer to do the right thing at the time of the incident. Obviously the shooter disregarded that.

I have been debating about going to chains for the last couple of years. All it takes is that one time where it comes loose and you wish you would have……

Chains are what we used to hold beast snowblowers down on this landscaping crew I worked on back in the day. A little much but it held everything down like it should. So I would also would say chains are the safest and best. Like you say, break hard and good night.

Makita makes a great durable radio with a small foot print. Great for wet cold conditions. Some of those old Sony radios are fragile and I don’t mean Italian.

On some trips, hubs couldn’t even be set up the wind was so bad. If you opened it, whoosh! That thing would have sailed to China. A flip can keep you fishing in those conditions which aren’t that uncommon. Just don’t ditch the flip.

When I wear my insulated bibs on the ice, if it’s not below 0 I sometimes wear basketball shorts under them with my 1600 gram boots. On a day like today I’m wearing under armor and bibs and I’ll be just fine. They’re nice to have for days like this.

LaCrosse Alpha Burly is the boot for me. 1600 mg. I wear ankle socks out in any weather and I’m warm all day.

I see you’re in Apple valley. I’m in Rochester and the weather map I just looked at shows snow yet for at least three maybe four hours.

What do you have for snow now?

We had our ice house broken into a couple years back on Mille Lacs. Just a crappy feeling walking up and seeing that lock and door busted up. Let these boys come with me for an afternoon and I’ll get them to never do this to another person again. toast

I had a murdered out rod made. Super, super nice and cool looking. I haven’t put it down for days. Wife is asking me to move it constantly as I leave it all over the house. It’s with me next to the bed right now.

just wait, you’ll be recapping show parts like, “chandler said to Rachel see you at the coffee shop” and then that house will be cursed.
