The Ortonville Chamber of Commerce is putting a two day event together the third weekend in May to replace the MWC for one year in their absence. MWC has given the verbal commitment to be back on Big Stone Lake in 2003. Anyone who has fished the MWC is on the mailing list at the chamber and will recieve an entry and information in the mail.

primarily the number of tournaments on Big Stone Lake per month. WWA and MWC(chamber tournament this year) are both in May so we can only do two nights of league. Mike, do you have 25 two man teams or 25 total participants. We have 20 two man teams so we have 40 “participants”.

Hi Tom, I was checking out your embroiderd hunting vests today, pretty sharp! Anyways Tom, as you know our family is pretty close to Pete. He called the next day he resigned and explained what happened. In respect, I won’t go into details, but things just didn’t work out. It wasn’t anyone factor but just had several issues that added up to “It’s the right time to go onto the next challenge in Life”. He really is being a true professional about it and you will see him in an RCL boat soon. Which one, I will wait for his public announcement!! He has been contacted with a lot of options on the table. I have tremendous amount of respect for my friend and I don’t think he is going to regret this move.

Waubay and Bitter are probably the two most notable lakes for excellent summer fishing. Both are very good at first ice out also. Usually the end of March or early April one of the lakes opens and you can fish walleye year round on these lakes. Verticle jig in the flooded trees usually between 6 to 12 feet of water. Pull spinners and plugs in 16 to 22 feet of water during the summer months.
