good news. my wife just got a call from the registered owner and they didn’t realize the mistake and are going to go pay the sales tax tommorrow

another question I have is how did they first get the registration stickers for the boat if they didn’t pay the Minnesota tax on it. they bought it in Wisconsin where it was titled there. the stickers expired in December and they got the Minnesota tags in june of 2011. we have the registered owners bill of sale as well as the original owner before hers Wisconsin boat registration card

we did get a bill of sale from the guy we bought it from and he got it from the registered owner by trading a motorcycle for it

we know who the registered owner is and called and left her messages and my wife also messeged her on facebook. the head dnr guy said we couldn’t pay the 26 dollars without trying to get hold of her first
