Without any decoys, an e-caller in a blinding blizzard works wonders on snows, we’ve done it a few times. Find a good feed or a loafing pond and if the conditions are right, its no problem putting snows on the ground if you can handle the conditions. Last year in SD we had the perfect opportunity, one guy stayed in the truck and 2 of us went out and shot 29 in 40 min before our guns froze and wouldn’t cycle anymore. The conditions have to be dang near spot-on, but its a blast.

We use FoxPro callers, and yes, you should be able to download all the snow goose sounds you want. I bought a couple more speakers and extra cables to spread them out. I would NOT use a boombox, trust me, I’ve tried it.

Hey guys, I’ve been an IDO’er for a long time now and moved up to LOW from Rochester almost 5 years ago and have been working at Ballard’s for that entire time, if anyone has any questions feel free to throw them my way and I’ll be happy to answer them as best I can. I’m not a desk guy, I’m a field guy, so anything field related I should be able to help out pretty good and general resort questions I should be able to answer as well. Glad the IDO crew is coming up should be a good time!

    Andy
