Hole shot

Just an up date went for a ride in a V193 with g2 etect 200. they are definitely not the old 2 stroke motors from days past. No smoke or smell.
It was quiet not as quiet as a 4 stroke but could talk to each other with out any problems at idle.
I would call conditions calm full tank of gas 3 people topped out at 52mph 5400rpms and was at 2.8-3mph at idle 500rpms. Hole shot was amazing, fly by wire shift was smooth and responsive, power steering was effortless
Thanks for all the comments really appreciate it
Would there be another ladder option with a kicker and talon set up?
My other concern would be the added weight of every thing on the back and keeping the bow mount in the water on windy days. Had a 18’ aluminum boat with a kicker it sat at such an angle with any wind it was always coming out. I ended up selling it and found a Wx2000t love the boat but just not handy for towing kids around. The ropes rub really hard on the vantage and if I just go to one side I’m limited to right turns or I’m rubbing the fiber glass
Don’t really troll that much anymore but when we do I just don’t want to fight it thanks again
Waxy how did you like that etec
What I want to do is put a tallon on one side and a ladder on the other for the kids. I just would slide the talon off for when we are playing around
Found this report looks Pretty much what you were saying in your post
Nothing against a kicker
Just one more thing to maintain
I see a lot of 2090’s with 200hp
I figured that they would be trolling with them and just Curious
If the v193 would get down to 2.5mph
Thanks
Took the y cable out and adjusted the side image to read on plane haven’t had any more issues
Thanks
Here was a group of sun fish
I pull 8’s now was thinking of getting some 4’s to try lighten everything up some just don’t want to pay out 60′ of line to get down to 30′ that’s all Maybe just stick with what I have thanks guys
Thanks guys how much play is in the brackets or are they tight when together
I have a cannon base with a traxstech plate I run with 8 pound ball on its rock solid no problems yet
thank for the reply and pic. any reason you went with a power pole and do you have splash guards
Sandwich style plate that’s what I was thinking do you think it would get back far enough to clear the splash gaurds
Thanks for the reply dose the skeeter plate slide completely off for motor storage or if your boat cover has no boot for the motor
Was it for loading reasons to have it that far back seems like one more thing to do slide it out then deploy the motor
Just thought I update my auger post what I ended up doing is that when I put the carp kit in the side that had the plastic cover I tighten the screws too tight and smashed the corners down the cover had a 1/2 moon curve to it not much but enough to leak air the parts store showed me the new carb it had no plastic on it so now I have new carb, plug and gas line should be good for awile so I learned some times snug May be tight enough and the gas coming out of the exaust was me flooding it really bad
Put the new plug in still had same problem took the carb off went through it put it all back to geather and oops now I have gas comeing out the exhaust might have to get a carb or just take it in good thing the ice is still thin for the hand auger
A few people and I use a product called safe-AR hull cleaner. Comes from “kem tech industries, inc”. Few of us just split a case ever few years takes hard water spots off everything we just wash the boat like a car then dampen a rag with hull cleaner wip the boat down and rinse looks new every time use it on glass and tin
How did you guys mount the traxstech to the curve gunnels? Traxstech is what I have in the back works good. I see that Scotty makes a mount that will come off and on with thumb screws so all you have is a small plate when riggers are not needed. http://www.scotty.com/fishing-gear-equipment/downrigger-mounting-systems/1025-right-angle-side-gunnel-mount.htm
put a skimmer on the back fix it wooks great 1197 has a better pitcher too mabe the old one was going bad??
rain all day got bord and ran out all the wires the second transducer is a lowrance found T-conectors, temp sencer and stuff?? so all i have is si ducer, y cable and dual in hull ducer this makes alot more sence
Do you think I can put a skimmer on the same side as the si? I would rather have a skimmer for future replacement and/or adjustments here are some pitchers of what I have
if i get a skimmer can i mount it next to the side img. ducer or will it be better on the other side? the other side has a vantage would that be a problem (turbulance maybe)
is it a rachet cover like the rangers, how dose it fit around the splash gards and is their polls to put up thanks
