Primarily muskies and walleye. Possibly some lakers but muskies and walleye are first.

I guess I should of asked what species of fish you are targeting. If you are going in September and targeting walleye I would go further north fish creek or egg harbor since the <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>walleye tend to migrate north the later the year gets. Many hotels in those areas that would probably fit your needs if you just want to fish.

Thanks,Tom. I kind of wondered about the green sabots. I haven’t been able to find them in stores so I wanted to make sure before I ordered them.

I’ll be using blackhorn 209 so I’m interested to see the groups that I can get from my rifle.

Thanks for the replies, guys. We are unsure about when we plan to go. Based off our schedules, it’s looking like either second or third week in January or second to last week in February. So the window is pretty large there.

If we go to Vermillion or Rainy, we will definitely be hiring a guide. Probably won’t on red as one of the guys in our group has fished red in years past. One of the guys has an ice castle that we plan to take (depending on ice conditions) and we will also be taking 4-wheelers to give us some further mobility. We’ve always heard red is a good numbers lake but end up catching a lot of smaller sized fish.
