    I do not have expensive rods. However,I dont like tangled messes.
    Cheap golf tubes to the rescue.

    Heres hoping they listen.
    Over the course of battery powered ice auger creation I maintained contact w/ Ryobi trying to encourage their development of same.
    Paying no attention to the target consumer they modified their earth auger and now promote a device that weighs more than a gas Eskimo Shark!
    Not the smartest marketing dept.

    Howdy, just found this forum.
    I spend a goodly portion of my ice fishing time entertaining myself w/ home fabbed equipment.
    My take on light weight gear being in my 70’s is the lighter the better.
    There is a certain amount of gear needed to be comfortable. So, I combine an aluminum sled w/ storage and shelter. This one is a couple yrs old now.Not the prettiest girl at the dance, but it catches fish while in a tee shirt.
