to say that the snagging of flathead catfish in the Minnesota river isn’t taking place is completely false…. If you know where they winter you can sit in the woods and watch it happen right in front of your eyes .. I have witnessed this and contacted the Mn DNR about this on separate occasions … If it isn’t a big issue I don’t see that problem on closing the season..

Most of the guys that fish that tournament grew up on that river . I for one did not fish the Croix until 2005 and consistently from 2007 to 2010. to make the statement that it isn’t a big fish fishery is a false statement.. The time of year to locating numbers of these big fish is crucial and almost as crucial is location and water level.. as some spots w low level will not produce as it does in high water.. As far as a consistant pattern I would say there is some consistence to each and every pattern but very few fisherman work hard enough to dial in more then one or two presentaions.. I myself focus most of my time on pool four and have yet to see a post spawn female weigh in on the scales at 10.5 lbs and the fish from 2011 was a legit post spawn giant.. point being spend your time figure out a program and then spend some more time if you locate one big girl theres more not far away..
May 9, 2014 at 8:04 pm #1409597I did have the issue with my water pressure gauge hose coming unhooked and spraying water in the boat as the motor was running as soon as I realized it I called SBC immediately and eric talked me through it and figured it out in two minutes on the water,, four screws and popped it together.. Im not going to push blame one way or another as I had two graphs installed and switched transducers a couple times and pulling the wires is what I believe pulled the hose off of my connecter.. as far as the livewell being labeled wrong all I can say I wow.
April 1, 2014 at 3:32 am #1400837I personally use a ram mount and its seemed to work great .. I have seen this same set up on many others as well, personal preference if you want it centered or to the right or left a bit.. good luck.. I did see recently there is a sale on one of the 800 series hummingbirds for $599.99 as well..

Great things happen to great people congrats Dean
he would make one hell of a coach because that team he has behind him sure does a great job… Congrats Dean!!! your hard work shows.February 5, 2014 at 9:31 pm #1363568using decoy bags and sinking them back down can be a must at keeping these fish alive as they will not last long in the live well…any rule where fish must be alive? ( in my opinion this is a must)
February 5, 2014 at 9:28 pm #138633350 boat field seems very small for a “big time” tourney .. any reasoning for that??

I have opinions on several things but will the Wisconsin DNR take into consideration anything that is brought up on this.
I’ve talked to several wardens on the ten fish limit, which I think is good, on the three pools and I was told WDNR would never go along with it.
Ten fish Limit? Interstesting please explain your thoughts
February 2, 2014 at 6:24 pm #1385290how about Bruno and the chilli peps and its over… the hawks paid a lot of money for that kick return…
January 27, 2014 at 8:55 pm #1383735In my opinion the best fishing in the croix is earlier in the season.. that being said I think it would be a good idea to have tournaments in May and June even with high water maybe change to take off location…. the high water does not seem to affect the croix as much as other rivers its still usually pretty clean and the fish bite like crazy… if the no wake is one could change take off locations.

I am yet to run or see any glass boat that doesnt get any gel coat cracking. Just part of owning a glass boat. They are always going to flex some its just a matter of where and when.
I agree 100%. I Fished out of a 620 tiller w a 150
Yamaha for 4 yrs tournament fishing and the owner of the boat pointed 5 different places on the interior of the boat where stress cracking had occurred he was also concerned and was told it was only cosmetic.January 23, 2014 at 10:26 pm #1382434cosmetic or not in my opinion it is a problem that id expect skeeter to fix not cover up.. I have not noticed this on my wx2000t ..If its only cosmetic the torque from the engine wouldn’t make any difference that being said how come this location is the only place affected.
August 27, 2013 at 1:35 pm #1191600marinate in lawreys teriyaki marinade for 24 to 48 hrs .. grill on foil skin down first for 15 min flip onto grill without foil skin will peel right off spread a melted brown sugar and butter glaze on … cook on high heat at this point and continue to glaze n flip every 3 min until salmon has a crusty glaze.. If its smaller coho 24 hrs is enouph time for bigger king, rainbow or trout I leave them soak for 48..

March 7, 2013 at 3:29 pm #1149402That is with a 17 pitch prop, And no that was w just a few spinning rods and very little gear with. It was only the 2nd time I had the boat on the water so i havnt run it in waves or any conditions to effect control speed etc ,I realize there is alot of variables with speed. I read alot of forums b4 lookin into the wx2000t and there were guys getting 41.5 to 42 mph, again not sure of the prop etc they were runnin. I agree it would be nice to run less rpms at 38mph though. To each there own If I had deeper pockets who knows maybe i would have justified it in my mind to go 50mph
March 7, 2013 at 1:52 pm #1149370nice boat, I agree 100%, on that customer service from skeeter boat center is absolute top notch.. I joined the skeeter nation in Feb thanks to the team at S.B.C
March 7, 2013 at 1:49 pm #1149367wade, I recently purchased a 2011 wx2000t and w the 115 yamaha full of fuel i can get 40 to 41.3 out of it, My question is what is the need for a 150 to 250 on the back of a tiller boat unless you are doing some serious tournament fishing. I mean I get the fact that going 50+ mph is way cool. I have not been in a warrior With the 200+ motor on but i bet its a heck of a ride.
March 28, 2012 at 8:15 am #1053285I blew the bottom cylander of my 04 90 hp etec and it is costing me 2grand to fix . The only problem is the marine shop i brought it to has had it for over a moth and I get the same answer everytime I call there ” we will try and get it done” I guesse I should have brought it the als in rochester instead ,to answer your question its yes . that motor is worth a heck of a lot less blown up then if you fix it and sell it. … Also how much is it going to cost to buy a new one.. I also agree my next motor will be a yammy.

May 20, 2011 at 5:21 pm #967567first of all is the limit the number one part of the equation?? really? wisconsin uses multiple lines iowa and michigain as well and they all seem to be doing pretty well .. i think if an effective angler wants to keep 6 fish or 4 or 3 isnt going to be effected that much by how many lines we use !! the way the bill reads is a joke they think they can allow one type of fishing to use two lines but not the other??? come on . either pass it or dont ! i do see ur argument though suzuki , the future of our waters depends on people being true to the laws and to the sport !!!!take the fish you are going to eat no one needs a freezer full! but some people seem to think they do !!
