If you want to fish by yourself all you have to do is make sure you have safe ice and all of your gear is in good working condition. Bring a cell phone and fish on a lake you know. You should be good.

Welcome home. I say that because anyone who loves to icefish should live here anyway. Alittle farther north would have been more ideal. Hey your here right! Good move! I Hope you catch some nice fish.

What’s up guys? I am on my way out to check some ice on the metro lakes. Should be able to give some good reports later on. Not happy with the snow, but it’s supposed to stay cold so it should not do to much damage to the lakes.

stick to 10 th 15ft of water on the outside of the weed line on any part of the lake and you should do good. P.S make sure the lake has a good supply of walleyes if thats what you are after. You do not want to waste a day chasing ghosts

I would recommend a strike master 2000! It has a chipper and it cuts clean. It weighs in at 25lbs and always fires up 1 or 2 pulls. regardless of the techmesh 2.0 comments,it’s still the best.Best of all it does not lock up halfway into the hole.(Treat your ice gear good it’s your best friend in the winter)Well close to it!
