10″ inches of ice should turn to over a foot by the time I get there on Thursday…that’s great news….Thanks for the update

You using wired or wireless? To start out, See what shows when you do this: Go to Start, Settings, Network connections. What does it show? Does it show Local Area Connection? If it does click on this. Under the genral tab does it have numbers under packets sent and received?
Do you have the My Computer icon on the desktop? Right click on it and select properties, select hardware tab, click Device Manager, and click the + sign near Network Adapters. This will expand and show all the adapters. Are there any ! in front of the devices? Click once on the devices, the right click and select properites. Under Device Status does it say the device is working properly? Do you have a router and a DSL modem, or just a modem? Do you know the IP Address of them? If so click start, run, then type in cmd. enter in ping XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX where the X’s is the IP Address of the router and or modem. Any luck?
Did your computer show an error that said no network services found?

not sure how to ping the gateway..working on it now…put the mal program on flash drive, won’t go on in safe mode, so going to try putting it on regularly, then going to safe mode

February 9, 2009 at 11:36 pm #746510Gotta think that the ice is gonna take a beating this week between the temps and the rain. Taped 24″ on Mazaska yesterday, which surprised me…but right on about ramps…gonna be puddles.
As for break-ins…I’ve often thought about just leaving the door unlocked to my shack on the lake…much easier shoveling out snow and critters than replacing a door….HOpe I don’t ever have to deal with it
