The pressure ridge is where the truck went through, there was a bridge about another 1/2 mile out. My understanding is that the truck broke through but before they could get it out it went down. They took it out about 15 feet from where it went in. I still won’t travel with my truck! Track’s also show that the pressure ridge had been crossed before with out the bridge, I think the cold just made it unstable.

This was from last weekend on the SE corner. We counted over 30+ vehicles parked around watching them bring the truck up. 3/4 ton’s with wheel houses were very common this weekend. I’ll stick to the four wheelers.

My thoughts exactly, I have another picture with 30+ truck’s parked side by side. The ice was over 17″ but the truck broke through on a pressure ridge. They told us when we went on to make sure to use the bridge and DO NOT cross the pressure ridge any where else. We took the four wheelers any ways(still used the bridge). A lot safer.

Here is our total catch from 1PM-5:15. We were out on Five Mile Gravel away from everybody. We also released 5 Walleye under 9 inches. Look’s good for future catches.

It is very neat to watch them get these vehicles out.

It was impossible unless you had a snowmobile. There was a foot+ of snow.

We were fishing in 34 feet of water & small & simple was the best choice. Gold swedish worked well with a green sticker. And a light jig is what paid off, as soon has you jigged hard they were gone.

Sorry it took so long to get back. We went out of walleye retreat just outside of Baudette. The good thing about them is that they are always moving their houses if the fishing slows down. Cirus resort was right next to us and a group of guys we knew went out of there and did not even bring limits home.

    Thanks,
I was just looking for a place that has bathroom’s in the house and probably will be on fish(I know there’s no guaranties). I have heard some stories where the resort just drop’s a house and leaves it so when the fish move out your out of luck. From what I understand from other post you need to be 3-5 miles out to locate fish. Any more input would be great it could be a long trip if the fish aren’t biting with the wife and two four year olds.
