The problem is that MN is so anti-crawfish that you cant even get live ones flown in anymore for a boil. Pretty sad really.

First problem is you can not transport them from one body of water to another. Second problem is if they are rusty crawfish instead of natives, you cant even return them to the same body of water.

The <em class=”ido-tag-em”>bass forums here have always been slow like this. You’d think Florida sportsman would have a lot of bass posts, but it’s even slower than this.

I’d give up my bass gear if I lived within an hr of brackish or salt.

there used to be a decent bass forum on MN fishing but the managers of that site have screwed it up

If your on FB, search on ‘Minnesota Bassheads’. New Bass group that started this year and is fairly busy. A lot of guys from there are on this now.

Hopefully Bassheads doesn’t take the pathway of Fishing Minnesota or IFM. They have done a great job booting the idiots off after they see what they are about up to this point. Hopefully they can keep that up.

What the heck is a clip? Back in my youth I had a clip on tie. It couldn’t hold 30 of anything and it wasn’t round either.

Can somebody remind me of how well the armed security faired in stopping the deaths at Columbine?

but WTF is the purpose of the AR-15 style weapons with large capacity magazines other than to kill alot of people quickly

Joe….many thousands of people use semi-auto with handgrips and such (AR15) weapons for organized target shooting, varmint hunting.and in the right calibers, larger game hunting…..They are highly accurate, easy to use and other than the looks ,the exact same thing as any other semi-auto rifle…..

Sadly these threads end up going nowhere… I’d love to have a serious conservation about it, but eventually the “Nobody is taking my guns away!” folks chime in and the thread gets locked/deleted…

Maybe because there is a lot of people -like me-who have owned all sorts of guns most of their lives……

Does a single shot rifle not work for target shooting or varmint hunting?

Can’t a slingshot kill a grouse? Yep, there goes all your shotguns.

Can’t an arrow kill a deer? Yes, well then let’s take away all the rifles and slug guns.

Can’t a police officer protect your home? Most the time, ok then hand over your side arms.

    Where does it end?

This kind of cracks me up and I certainly don’t buy it. Your taking a hot shower and raising your core temps and then a 2 minute cool down in a 50 degree water and calling it cold exposure therapy? Every single guy on here that works outside all season long is laughing their butts of at that even being considered cold exposure.

I will say that at this point in the season when it was 28 degrees out yesterday I had just a sweat shirt with an undershirt on and wasn’t cold by any means. First weeks of winter I would need a couple sweatshirts and a coat but after working in sub zeros for a few weeks 28 feels like a heat wave.

Are you building or buying after you sell? We had a situation two years ago where we sold before the new place was ready. Since it was the off season we were able to find a fully furnished lake home to rent for cheap for the 7 weeks while we were homeless. I’d do that again before ever considering a hotel or fish house.

Be prepared when listing to have short market time and hard terms for quick closing dates. Just talked to a guy last week that has around a dozen buyers looking within our school district and nobody is selling. He said two of them have been in temporary housing since early last year when both houses had purchase agreements within hours of listing.

The walleye reference is going over my head. Because it looks like a walleye? ???

No,it’s because a walleye is as easy to catch as a starving bass. Might also be the way you described the fight it put up, reminds them of their big catch.

This to me looks strikingly similar to the MN DNR’s Mille lacs style of lake management.
