well you can say we were insane, however how many fish did you catch while not minding your own? we are on 24 inches solid ice as of yet and we are catching lots of big fish out here, and more importantly no one is bothering us. So no we are not insane, we just know what we are doing…..

you will learn to abandon this stae of Iowa at this time of year, shoudve been at lake erie where we caught over 250 walleyes weighing in around 3-7 pounds, what a blast, any ways you should slap on the weight and troll little floating tiger striped rapalas up the middle of the channel, there are great saugers to be had, call me if you need more info 319-362-7324. good fishin charlie

I would think cabelas or how about a oil speacialty place, I just go to my dealer, I think that it is best to do that since you may save a dime going elswhere, latter down the road it could cost you more in repairs as some oil filters are not all equal. What is your cost on the filter, I will see what it would cost me.

I like a real loud one ya know with some ac-dc in it or something like that, I dont think the spawn will be over when them guys go, things are strange this year, Im not going out on that lake with less than 20ft under my little as you know Im just a little guy, Ive been tossed around before, I once was out by Pelee Island in Canada, a storm came from no where 45 and 60 mile an hour wind driven rain and hail, never thought I would live to tell it, I take the Ranger out there latter in the summer now thats a roller coaster ride. maybe I just might have to be there, I have so much fun there.

If you stay @ Put-n-Bay I doubt if you make it out fishin, just kidding, any way if the weather will allow you the best bet is to fish around camp perry reefs or west there of, the fish will stack up clear to the toledo towers in 10 to 20 ft of water, I usually jig purple hair jigs with lake shiners, since your boat isnt that big, I wont get send you out to where the big girls are, I do know the issues that can arise, if you could get out there around the catawba Island in 30 fow troll reef runners at o.9 mph youll sure to strike gold, a gps is a must also a marine radio, I would never venture out onto that lake without at least two gps and two marine radios, you can get turned around quickly and loose sight of any land quickly or the fog could deter your viewing, channel 16 on the radio, you may call me on my cell phone 319-981-5433 I just may be out there then and I would be more than happy to take you guys out on my 33ft sportcraft. not much to stop me other than wind, I can handle 6-8 ft but I dont like it and we will chase em down I have trailer there @ wild wings resort, I fly back n forth weekly as I own my own plane also, keep in touch and well see where Im at on the dates you mentioned. good luck & good fishing charlie

you guys are going to have to learn to vacate the dam area if you want to catch fish I limited out yesterday in 45 min in water less than 10 ft. go down river to old sand flats stay back from shore cast your bk ringie up on the shelf drag it back at a fair clip, pick it up a notch they are a little more agressive now. act think like a fish.

Stay with the best the original I understand the price factor, but in time you will come to see why you paid the bigger price for what it is covering, and the fantastic results youll have, Ive owned several Rangers and I make sure it has an original cover from Ranger!

Hopefully youve misunderstood, however if not it seems to me they need to protect these fish, just as they would walleye or anything else, Im beginning to see that managers need to be assigned to rivers and lakes to survey these important issues.

I seem to have another opinion, Ive had several different kinds, the Jiffy lightning is the most bang for your buck, I found mine this year at gander for 221.00. the eskimo I have is a barracuda, Im in the process now converting my 8 in to a 10,I dont know for a fact the motor will pull a bigger auger or not, every eskimo auger sold this year at scheels in IC was returned if that tells you anything.

The Trollers Bible is your best investment, once you have it figured out there is another, called big water trolling also Rapala makes a little handbook too, dont forget to try to learn lead-core line trolling, with all this info you should be able to catch the big boys.

I try to wait till the water reaches 40 then the rig is utelized like this, bottom dropper 4-6 ounces of weight I perfer pencil weights with 16 inch dropper attached to three way, I do this two ways, first I take a small rapala placed on a 3ft leader I take the end treble off and attach a 8inch leader and place my 2nd crankbait,or I leave the first one alone attach a swivel above the three way take 15ft leader attach to your crank.
