    Ate lunch at JR’s Sunday. Fish Fry was great. Got tarter sauce and fries, too. toast Fishing was also good. Had a fun time.

    Thanks! We were there between Christmas and New Year’s and ate at JR’s. Unfortunately, they were not prepared for all the people and had run out of fries, tarter sauce and then the few onion rings they were substituting. The fish was great. Will most likely give JR’s another try.

    Thank you all for the help. Not sure where we will be with the fish house, there are lots of options, here in the metro, Mille Lacs, Red, Lake of the Woods or Winnie. All depends on the ice this year ???

    We don’t have DISH or Direct TV. I can’t believe this is that difficult to get some/a little bit of tv service in a fish house. I realize you can’t get cable – I guess I worded that wrong. All we want is some local channels (if possible). Seems that a digital antennae may be what we need. We can easily do without tv, if a $300 piece of equipment is needed. We are just looking for basic tv.

    Mn rabbit -Yes the satellite dish is connected to a wall jack, where the tv will go. The dish has a crank on the inside of the house to position it, I think. Do you think that cause an issue if we take it off and change to a digital antennae?

    Big_g When you say a “receiver” what exactly is that. Does that mean a cable box (don’t want to use that) or is a receiver some other device that we need to get. Where did you get one?

    We will be using a new tv in the fish house.

    Thank you. You were correct. He tried some on today and decided Large for the bibs, XL for the Parka.

    If the bobber is still down — give the fish more line. Quickly grab the rattle reel and pull more line into the water. Then, slowly reel in the line with you hands – until you feel slight resistance – then set the hook. If it is a nice fish, you have to be the drag. Give the fish line if/when they need it and pull in when you can.

    I just use a small plastic bucket – about the size of an ice cream bucket. Dump over the side and rinse. If the girls are uncomfortable with just that, a plastic rain poncho can be used to “cover” themselves while they go.

    We just sent two rebates in — one for line and the other for bait. Ours were sent to White Bear Lake, MN. How long ago did you send yours in?? and maybe it’s still in process?? I will not be happy if we do not receive ours. Did you get a notice that stated that you will not get the rebate??

    I’ve been watching the weather and wind. Noticed it was a bit breezy up there the last few days. Tourney days, Thurs and Friday, are looking pretty good from here. Hope it stays that you way for all of you. Good Luck!

    Anyone want to tell me how things are going at LOW. Stan and I are home – multiple reasons we could not make it this year – and I am sitting here pouting and constantly thinking about all of you up there.
