Good Job…!! I didnt stick around for the weigh-in with the rain starting, and the fact that I got blanked.

Found some dink smallies, and one bigger one broke my line off that I could have at least weighed against ya… But couldnt find much!!! Nice job finding fish!!! Was waiting all night for the weather to turn them on too!!

There was a whole ton of GAR surfacing by the Dyke in Stoddard a few weeks ago.. Havent been back out there to
see if they are still there, as we couldnt get them to bite,
and werent so sure we wanted them too…

By Far the best for me are the chrome with black backed Rattlin Rapalas(size 7)!!! I had my wife pick up 10 more of them at Cabela’s, they were so hot!! My main problem with them, is that a lot of times if the northern beat the bass to them, they like them too much(suck em all the way in)!!! If that is in fact a problem?? And for $2.00 a pop, they are the best deal!!!

I actually quit using them a few days on my trip up north, because it felt like I was cheating.

Stoddard had a hatch last Sunday as well… Not overly heavy.

Rattlin Rapala’s!! Two Bucks at Cabela’s!! I bought 14!! Look for the bargain bins. Or basspro.com has them for that too…

Caught a Walleye, Northern, Largemouth, and smallmouth out of the same 50 yards of river Monday morning on one!! All while the carp were rollin in the weeds right there too.

    profiling… stereotyping… six of one….

I see way too many woman(including my wife) who love to ride PWC to agree that the “Adrenaline Junky” profile is
over 75% the case! My wife won’t even ride on tame rollercoasters….
But I would think about 95% of the population craves this Adrenaline action. I guess its just where you get it, when a huge fish hooks-up or cruising on a PWC, or Both!!
So I would bet this “Profile” if it exists, was done by some desk-jockey that doesnt do anything of any real excitement, and resents the people who do.

    IMHO

    Very Sad…

I have heard very reliable rumors that this accident was in fact the Bass Boat’s fault and alcohol may have been involved.

I also do agree that there are a number of unsafe PWC riders out there, but to stereotype them is very inaccurate. They are a lot of fun(even to some of us that love fishing the river as well), they do have way more control than any boat(with responsible, experienced drivers of course), most of them stick to the main channel with the cruisers, and definitely not all of them are drinking. And finally, they do have just as much rights to be there as us fisherman, whether we like it or not.

We are all going to have are run-ins but there are definitely tons of spots on the River where you can avoid them!!

Its all about Boating Responsibly.. Whether it be them or us!!!

That’s my problem… I really gotta get out to the wing dam by Stoddard there… I always cruise around the sloughs in Goose Island and usually get stuck, or lost, or…

And Ive fished it quite a few times… Have caught a few nice fish too, but went out last Sunday and with the current and the higher water, it makes for even more new shallows…

I’ll really have to head up to Lake Ona’ and try that out…

New to this group, but man its pretty cool to get this kind of advice for around home.. I usually head Warrens and Mccoy way just because I understood it better….

    Thanks…
