I bought i trion last year and loved it. Then this year i bought a president and didnt like it as well and bought another trion instead. I dont even use the president anymore

I have that same reel on a fenwick HMG. They are around $100 I believe. If you live close to Spirit lake Iowa you can get one for $60. I love the rods for walleye fishing.

Just got to iowa today. Didnt start so well.pulled off to side of road to park and go sit,then ditch monster sucked my pass side tires in. Had to get wrecker My buddy saw 7 does though and i saw a huge ten just before dark. for sure at least 140. Hunting through monday evening.

LOTS of fishing pressure. The last week or so we have been fishing west lake so im not sure what has been going on recently. Last few time we were on spirit we did good on perch. Almost always have fish down there, sometimes its tough to get them to bite.

I wondered about that. I dont know anything about the southern states except what you see on tv and read,wich im sure isnt really realistic!

Heading to iowa for one more hunt next weekend. Just cant let go! Kinda wish i had planned a hunt in mississippi or alabama. theyre rut is just about to start, and they have some pretty nice bucks!

Thats actually the first set of sheds i ever found in the U.P. Im glad all my hard work searching paid off!

Little late posting. The Mrs sat dark till dark all four days and didn’t see a shooter. Lots of does and small bucks. I hit a nice 140ish nine and just grazed it. Still kicking myself. 65 yards trotting through open corn field. I Hung off a tree all day all weekend,Long sits! Very well ran outfitter. Guides know their stuff and they keep it low pressure. Tracey and I and another couple had 600 a acres do ourselves. Some giants were shot while we were there. One gross booner. Shot or kill opportunity was around 75 %. Melissa bauchman was in camp all 4 days. Had a good time,blew my chance. Wish the Mrs could have at least seen a giant.

I fished yesterday and did good. I fished anglers bay in the morning and caught a few but nothing fast. I seen all the shacks out infront of templar but didnt stop and try it there. I went to okoboji and found some bluegills but couldnt get them to bite so i moved out alittle deeper and found some perch that were really active. All around 10 inches and the biggest was 12.5 inches.
