Youll really like it man, I have the eagle 642 c df which was basically replaced by the elite 5 so its similar. If you dont have one already you can pick up the ppp-18 kit for it which has the case, transducer, 12v battery and charger, made specifically for the elite-5 for about 120$

Just a heads up, not sure what lowrance unit you have but there is a ppp-18 ice kit that fits many models. I picked one up for 120$ and it comes with the ice ducer, case, 12v battery and charger. Its a nice little package. That way you can just transfer your unit from your boat to the kit and not have to mess with the ducer. I know if you have to raplace the skimmer transducers they run close to 100$ anyway. Just thought i’d let yanno!

I like to also use the 4x zoom and set the bottom just above the bottom of the screen, this will give you the best seperation of your jig and fish. I also set surface clarity to low and that seems to really clear things up. Just manually adjust the sensitivity to the jigs your using, I like to set it to where my jig is very small, when using jigging raps or similar big jigs you really have to turn it down, don’t worry it will still clearly mark fish coming in.

White lithium has worked wonders for me. I got my trekker 2 used and the poles were a nightmare, the buttons didn’t want to pop in to the holes when setting up or go back in when closing. I took each one apart and doused the clip and button inside. Put them all back together and wipe the outside of the poles off, the stuff is sticky. But after over a month of hard use in some nasty conditions The poles slide great and the buttons work perfect just like new. Highly recommend!
