Take your time, land prices have and should keep coming down. You should be able to pick it up for around 2,200 to 2,700 hundred an acre. I have been watching this pretty close the last few years.

FarmBoy, I would suggest a CVA kit to find out if you like it or not. From my understanding there are only 3 barrel manufactures for muzzleloaders and CVA has been around the longest. The kits are cheap the guns are deadly accurate and if you are lucky enough your first year as I was you will tag a 14 point non-typical as I did. Good Luck

Hunter common sense would be to shoot only the big bald ones and the boys beyond the ears.. But you cannot educate ignorance even though it has been proven to work!

    SMASH
Nice report [censored]. Someday I get back out with you. I will tell you all one thing. There is nothing better then walking next Waller (aka the [censored], another story in its self) and shooting all the roosters for him. If you ever want to know how many roosters Waller shot in a day just ask him how many shots he fired and divide by 2.5 Later man, the head.

One of the most asked questions with braid and many different answers.. I have spoken directly to a line rep about this same situation and this was his answer. “Dean you can’t set the hook like your tryin’ to cross his eyes, just snap your wrist.” Mind you I spoke with him directly after a day on the water and I was &*^&$# mad after losing 9 jigs and breaking a rod.(Now thats setting the hook like a mofo Slop Bass.) It took some training but the problem has been solved.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMM good questions. The limit one is easy and that is all about water temp. As for the early tournaments, I have mixed thoughts. The southern states which have year round fishing do not have a problem with fish in their waters and most tournaments are based around the spawn.I can say with many years of river fishin I have not noticed any decrease in fish population or size in any of my spawn fishin spots.

Jon if I am not mistaken you could stop and eat lunch on those docks and there is not a thing they can say about it. Those docks are not moveable and you want to fish that water which is your right so they cannot stop you. But you have to watch that you do not damage their boats because those are movable objects that are considered private.

Dball,Tuck hit the nail on the head. Pool 3 does sometimes give up a nice one but the Croix is the place to be. Don’t forget your topwater lures!!!!!

Greg hope these tips will help you. Not all bass spawn at the same time and when you start to see fry the spawn is just about complete. Bass in the murkie water will tend to stay shallower then say in a clear lake. Also keep in mind that they like a firm bottom for spawning and if that is not available they will use logs or roots.Lures: more like patience, many will work but persistance is key.As for sight fishing it can be a little tougher but it can be done. Last thing remember brown weeds give off carbon dioxide so try and find the new growth.
