Red glow forage minnow

Sorry I forgot to say how the ice was. I found mostly 4″-5″ until I got out to the break then I found a spot where there wasn’t much snow and there was 6″. Si I went about 10 feet further to put un a tip up and found 2 1/2″. Wierd

Well here is how I did. I stopped at long walk for three hours 3 perch 1 sunnie. Then went to pepin and didnt get a bite for another 3 hours. I did see fish down there. Not sure what I think some were shad. Fished a dropoff between 8′-19′. I am thinking I have to find a little bend or a point or somthing.

yeah thats long walk I asked for some info about that place. People are pritty much hush hush about that place. I am going to look out there tomorrow when I go down to pepin.

I am going to be in the Wi. side. I think the currant is more on the MN side. That is I think!

guN how have you been getting them Tip ups or jigging?

I took my wife with to the contest and I wasn’t able to get there as early as I wanted (someone took a little to long getting ready) so I didn’t get deep like I wanted so it was either 60′ or 10′ so I chose 10′. I caught 8 perch in the first 15 minuetes and could have caught more but I swiched to a jigging rap to try for a bigger perch or eye. Next year I am going to try for 35′-40′ of water. Good times!!!!!

Yep its kind of tricky. I used to work there for a summer about ten years ago. Not a hole lot of people up there but it was a blast.

I try every year. But the old guy just won’t give in. Last year he got his neighbers to join him. One of them likes me but they don’t want him getting mad at him. Mabey this year he will give in.

The mississippi and chippewa rivers have many places to pull up and camp. Lots of great fishing.
I to will be on rainy this summer. Kettle Falls on the 4th good times!

I think they opened the 18th and it’s 14 bucks to go out for the day
