Tony is right. Here around the Quad Cities the slot has made one amazing fishery. It is now more common to catch a slot IMO than it is to catch an eater, and I’m fine with that!

Marty, didn’t you catch that pig pitching that ringworm from the top of your camper where the road makes a beautiful seam as the current hits your propane tank and boils back the other way?

Thank you everyone. I will do just what everyone said. I will contact him and talk to him and see what can be done. I am glad I have good pictures, but man it would of been neat to have something that resembled that fish. The color on him was amazing, and we almost thought it might be a saugeye. I will show him both pictures and see if he can make it right. I will withold putting his name on here unless he chooses not to do the right thing. I’d hate to see someone lose GOOD money on something this off if he thinks nothing is wrong. I feel it would be fair to warn anyone using him. But then again, he may have had a bad day, and will make things right. And if he does, I will give him his deserved credit. Until then. Thanks again everyone.

the first one is obviously the fish. He bounced around on two scales from 13.2 to 13.8 and was roughly 30.5 inches long. He was quite thick!! Obviously a post spawn fish caught in May.

Then the mount. No similar colors, and it looks like it has 4 pounds of eggs in her. Am I being too picky???

I have ridden in aluminum and glass and own a 619 with a keel guard and beach it every year to let the kids swim. I will never go to aluminum. BUT it seems like they can be bigger, roomier, and at times cheaper. Now with that being said, I still won’t buy one. Good luck.

Yeah, I was using a D200 Nikon with a 200-400 Nikkor. But with as many seats that were open you could of used a disposable with the same results!!!

Steve I can pick them up, and I will be in Prairie Du Chien next weekend working at Cabela’s. If you want to come down and pick them up, I will be more than happy to grab them. Let me know. PM me.
    Thanks

I have Okumas and they are terrible. When you find yourself trying to compensate for the reels problems, you are better off counting your own line. They have been terrible. With that said, does anybody want to buy some Okumas?

Make sure someones reports this to the DNR. Those were probably ringnecks, and if you saw that many, think about the ones you didn’t see. I will be over there today and will look as well.
