If you are goin to get them in Baudette it might be worth the drive to Adrian’s Resort about 20 min north of town along the river. They freeze their shiners while they are still alive, everyone else that i know of freezes the dead ones. Don’t know why but they work twice as good as the ones frozen after their dead.

December 18, 2010 at 2:13 am #918137I was down there 3 days after Thanksgiving 1 3/4″ to 2 ” of ice, only 3 feet of water though. 2 of us caught 40 to 50 crappies 9″ to 12″ in three hours. Since then have not been there but have heard the bite has basically shut off. The pike move in and the crappies vacate

November 17, 2010 at 1:07 am #910242Welcome jfewer, Lake Rebecca has some good panfish and crappie fishing early and late ice. It is a popular (community fishing hole). Or you might try (dushanes)Vermillion River. There is an public access off of Ravana Trail just east of town it has a googd bite early ice for some crappies.

April 12, 2009 at 1:44 am #767735I would start by checking to make sure there is oil in the hydrolic cylinders, or maybe the oil is bad and you need to bleed it out and put new oil in.
