If you buy them from PM direct they come in black. I was looking at the Wad Wizzard myself because of not being ported.

October 3, 2007 at 7:13 pm #613123In my opinion of years of experience I would by a high quality decoy because it will last a lifetime if taken care of. I perfer G&H over just about anything. And I would avoid the strap weights and removable keels if you hunting big water. The weight drag easy and the keels seperate in large mats of wild celery. I have snagged alot of them while fishing with cranks this last summer.

October 2, 2007 at 4:54 pm #612683I have a older model ranger 680T. Its built like a tank, very solid. With the tiller you have lots of room and boat control if you fish that way. They have a nice long live well that will fit a muskie or northern. The opposite side has a bait well. Theres storage in the bow that can be used as a cooler too.
I was thinking maybe about selling it since I haven’t used it at all this year.September 13, 2007 at 7:22 pm #607921The dealer told us the electronic limiter will cause the pop noise thru the exhaust. The more throttle the louder the pop would become. If the limiter was removed the noise would go away, but the engine would run higher rpms.
September 12, 2007 at 10:31 am #607456Ok, the kids wanted to ride last night so I check the air scoop and cleaned it out. It had a little grass in the screen but didn’t to seam no big deal. I put a new plug in it. The gas that was put in it was fresh from what I was told. My kid started it up and let it warm up good. Seamed to run fine. Road it around for five and than it would pop thru the muffled again. It does this about evert five seconds or so when at about 1/4 or 1/3 throttle. In talking with the dealer the carb is factory set and they don’t even mess with them. It sounds like its loading up. Is this common with the 2-stroke?
Thanks
September 5, 2007 at 2:18 pm #605746Everyone in manufacturing uses the JIT system. As far as the engines blowing I would not consider it a minor issue.
September 4, 2007 at 7:17 pm #605416What about the cam shafts? I had heard the engines had blown up and they had a recall.
August 30, 2007 at 2:33 pm #604482I don’t know what you had done. I had dislocated my knee several times and broke a bone partical off the back side. I had it cut open to remove the partical, it was like the size of your finger nail. I had throbbing pain for 1-week and had cruches I think for 2-weeks. I could hardly bend it at all. The physical theropy was intense and painfull but it worked. After each session they would bend your leg and hold it to increase the movement.
August 27, 2007 at 5:00 pm #603557Just some suggestions that motor has a primer/choke when warmed up the choke needs to be pushed in for it to run right. On the side of the engine is a diaphram fuel pump which can dry out over time.
July 20, 2007 at 11:35 am #592268Did anyone look and compare the 1760 with the Stratos 375XF? The 375XF list at 21K with a F115.
May 1, 2007 at 2:30 pm #566640Does anyone know the results? A friend had one over 7# another had one over 3#. That’s all I saw or heard.
April 30, 2007 at 2:32 pm #566197I fished it with my dad and my 6 year old boy in the jr division. We fished hard but could catch one. It was tough with the current and the wind.
April 23, 2007 at 2:28 pm #563561Lately we have been using gun scrubber to wash out the sand and ect. Than blow them out or just re-oil them.
March 19, 2007 at 8:03 pm #550531A sonar is the original lure like the zip lure. They are steel with lead weight near the head. The can be cast or jigged. Used to be a very good lure.
March 7, 2007 at 6:52 pm #545994My 6-year old had a tourney in Oshkosh last weekend and they had security like crazy. There were bouncer like guys at every corner of the gym and police walking thru the halls and parking lot. This was the first time I had seen this much security. I would have to believe this had something to do with it.
March 6, 2007 at 4:10 pm #545267Just a word a caution I have seen 4wd slide down that ramp and into the water. So be carefull on the ski jump.
February 27, 2007 at 6:51 pm #542306It’s very hard to trouble shoot something without seeing it or hear it run. But I would have say it sounds like a weak coil.
February 19, 2007 at 7:04 pm #538878I experience line twist from real set when not used very often. If you pull the line thru the water without anything on it, it will straighten it out. Just leave a foot or two of line out and stick the tip in the water while the boat is moveing. Drag it a couple hundred yards and real it up.
I use power pro, fireline and spider wire the most. I do like the old stren color mono for the visablity. Fireline seams to fade easy.February 16, 2007 at 4:21 pm #537793You look at the manufactures like HD they won’t let a jap bike in the parking lot. Salesmen are just that salesmen, they tell you what you want to here. In San Antonio they have a truck assembly plant. They want to build another plant right next to it to assemble 3/4 & 1 ton truck to kill Ford.
In all my years I have never made a tooling for a jap product or have ever heard anyone make parts for them. Maybe someday that will change.
I do agree with your political thoughts!
February 16, 2007 at 12:32 pm #537703“To correct an earlier assumption, there are more foriegn made parts on a Ford, Chev or Dodge then on a Toyota”
Give me a break, you probably run a Yamaha or Honda!
If you put the American manufactures out of business, you will put alot of tool & die shops out too.
February 15, 2007 at 7:09 pm #537354What about the pressure to win from Toyota. They want to put the American car manufactures out of business. I am sure they would love to be in the winners circle.
February 3, 2007 at 4:33 pm #532238I have a older Ranger and have purchased parts and asked technical questions over the phone with Ranger. The parts came right away and they were always helpfull with any questions I had. They docummented what model my rig is so if I need anything they have all the information for future reference.
January 30, 2007 at 9:26 pm #530151I ussually don’t put much input here, but these are facts that I know for sure.
The Mer 25-60 hp were made in WI before Brunswick purchased Tohatsu. The other motors pre Verado were Jap power heads. The two companies were in a joint venture and shared technology and parts. They seperated ties and came out with the Verado line.
On the smaller HP motors between 2,3 & 4 cylinders the engineers told me the 3 cyl idle the best!
January 24, 2007 at 4:21 pm #527209I here they have had alot of rain in the southern parts. The fields are very muddy and hard to hunt. My dad shot some snows yesterday and a coyotte ran of with one.

January 13, 2007 at 2:29 pm #522317I talked to my dad who’s down in TX the other night. He and a friend shot 3 cranes and few snows. They are just pass shooting right now. They had alot of rain and the fields are pretty wet. There going to wait for electronic calls to open to put out a spread. It was hot down there and the dog went for a swim in the pond. They both yeild for him to get out cause theres a 8′ gator in the pond. The farmer had 3 dogs but there all missing. They figure the gators were hungry.
