What a beautiful way to summarize that day and honor your friendship with Mark. It isn’t going to be easy, but we will rally and beat the cancer. God works in mysterious ways.
Thank you Kevin and Craig for being there with us on Saturday. You are the best!

Nothing is better than hunting with family and building those shared memories. The peace and serenity you enjoy on the Minnesota property is priceless.
I am proud of your commitment to making it a place where you can share your passion for not only harvesting big bucks but developing a quality deer hunting environment. Being able to do that with your father and sharing with other family makes it even more special.

I must warn you that it’s not cheap to maintain but it’s better than what I was using before.

Hmm – better than what he was “using” before. IT WAS ME!
Thank you Kooty! – however, he made me carry the shotgun too, and didn’t feed me

Thanks Chris!  It looks like I need to read some of these posts more often.     Sorry I kept Brad from coming to the shootout.   I am sure we will get to see most of you during bow season or minimally at the Buck Party in January!

I have been fortunate enough to spend many days on the water, with a great guide and many other fellow IDO members who are great fisherman/sportsman.

I like trolling for a much simpler reason, serenity. When out in the open basin, you rarely have to deal with any other boat traffic. I cherish my time on the water where I can escape from work and stress. So it is not all about the fishing, it is about the “experience.”

I also had the honor to meet Jason on a couple of occasions, one at our home and the other at the Cannon Falls Turkey Banquet. (See pictures above.) You could tell by speaking with him how much he loved his son and the outdoors.

Brad and I were able to stop by his memorial service yesterday and meet his parents and sister and see Dominic, definitely a “mini” version of his dad! You could see by the video tribute and pictures of Jason just how much he treasured his family and friends and his passion for the outdoors. He will me missed…

Breasted it out, cut into strips, marinated one side in tariaki the other in buffalo sauce, grilled, then ate! I thought they were very good and my 7 year daughter liked it as well so thats always a plus.

This sounds really tasty – I am going to have to try your recipe. I can’t wait!

$1025.00, too rich for my blood. Maybe Brad can bid on it.

Tina is the bidder in that family

After the Turkey Banquet last weekend the checkbook is closed – Brad and I are bad influences on each other!

But thanks for the words of encouragement Pat

I think that you deserve to get a new gun for this season

(and some new camo pants, a new jacket, boots, face mask, etc. etc. )

Seriously, if you do decide to buy the gun, I will be very interested to see how you like using it. I still haven’t decided on one for my own. I have been using Brad’s gun but at some point, want to get my own.

We have several platters, spoons, tupperware dishes, a crock pot, etc that was left last night. If you think you might have left something, please send a pm to Brad.
It was really fun to see everyone!

Only 10 more days until the Gold Member Big Buck Party!

Make sure you RSVP to Brad of who and how many are coming! Remember significant others are very welcomed to attend. Last year, there were quite a few Ladies there.

    Rob,
Thank you for referring to me and your better half as “Ladies.”

Honestly, I am really looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone and their spouses. It will be cool to put names to the faces of so many people Brad talks about.

In addition, we hope to take our kids with us next year. Both of our sons and daughter are avid hunters and know each other and therefore would make it a really special trip.

I am looking forward to it Dad! Great Post! I have listened to your stories of your hunts for years! I would love to have the opportunity to join you at goose camp.

Thank you for sharing your story.

I also had the pleasure of hunting with Craig and K.C. that day. Watching K.C. work was the best part of the hunt. I am so sorry Craig…
