Thanks guys. My mistake it is a 1197. The guys at the Hummingbird booth at NW Show said the livewell screens may interfere. I will probably leave my Lowrance unit in for high speed running. Does the new Hummingbird Lake Master chip run any faster than the Lowrance LM chip?

    Thanks

    Steve,
Completely agree with you the ice road is awesome. The management team at VNP has been very active in making new visitor friendly enhancements (campsites, day use sites, houseboat mooring sites, and now large extension of the ice roads). Winter visitation will only grow with the additional infrastructure. Thank you for all you do, the links you provide to our local businesses is awesome. The chubs were well trained today, keep up the good work!

I have a 2004 2025 Lund Pro V and guide on Rainy Lake. I currently have 1200 hours on my 250 Suzuki. I would not be caught dead without vinyl flooring. I still have the original vinyl. It is easy to clean and keep clean. Use to deal with flies in the carpeted models hardly at all with vinyl. I fish late at least until November 1. I found the freezing water to be much worse on carpet.

I do have a snap in carpet but have never had it in the boat once. The floors underneath seem to last much longer than a carpeted boat (with 1200 hours of run time the boat gets a good dose of all weather conditions).

Great job guys! You can tell people all you want about Rainy Lake, the fishing scenery, and fun, but it makes a real impression when you can see it first hand in a quality show .

We look for to working with IDO in the future, last falls outing was unbelievable, great guys, and good fishing. If I can be of any help guys feel free to contact me. We are just touching the tip of the iceberg as to what Rainy Lake and Rainy Lake Houseboats has to offer.

Fishing is pretty good right now, taking about a five to six mile snowmobile run for the walleyes and northerns. You can fish pike year around and walleyes thru April 14th. The last 45 days can be some of the best ice fishing of the year. I will be in the Rainy Lake Houseboat booth at the Milwaukee Sun Sentinel Sport March 10-14 and at Minneapolis Northwest Sportshow March 24-28th . If any of you are going to the shows stop in for a visit.

I caught a 49 1/4 built like an D9 cat, two hands to get around tail, my guest caught a 45″. Taking a couple days off going to see the gophers and vikes.

    Hi James,

Just finished a long run of guiding, muskie and walleye. The weather has held like never before. We would like to thank you, Dustin and all the people who opted to join the Rainy Lake GTG. It was wonderful to meet and visit with all of the group at shorelunch. We are reviewing our end of the trip, looking for ways in which to improve the experience for the fisherman.

I did discover a way to rig the minnow on an H2O jig or any long shafted round head jig. Hooking percentage was unreal and absolutely zero line twist on monofilment line. If you would like I can shoot the photos in sequence to show how.

    Many thanks again
