I got some 3/4 ouncer’s for Christmas, are that small of a size a waste? [/quot] Depending on depth 1/2 to 3/4 has its place pulling sd in dirty water.

January 21, 2014 at 4:22 am #1381327Last year i was fishing on the north end of lake menomin a couple hundred yards from the bridge when a car drove up the channel to within 50ft of open water. There were caution signs up warning of open water. The car drove over by me stopped rolled down the window and the lady with her young daughter says “Do you know how i can get to TainterLake ?” The lake is seperated by a river and a dam and she wastrying to drive there. I told her how to get there driving on the road and how lucky her and her daughter didn’t go thru the ice because i had drilled where she drove earlier and it was max 6″ thick. Crazy people!

Absolutely smashed some slobs in the last couple days!
This guy posted 17 min earlier that he couldnt catch anythimg or put a pattern together! Whats up with that?May 9, 2013 at 3:56 pm #1169618Wouldnt it make more sense to keep using the numbered tags and report the numbers date and area caught. It would probably increase the chance of people giving the numbers to friends to get a free. lure, but the useful life of program would be longer.
April 21, 2013 at 7:09 pm #1164501I would not use Voyagaire! We did a week a couple years back and had a serious mouse problem in ours. Many of them and one got stuck in my wifes hair in the middle of the night, she still has nightmares! When we woke up in the mornings the mice had unrolled and shredded toiletpaper, who knows what else they got into. Plus when we told them about it they did nothing and never offered to discount the trip, so I use every opportunity to loose them a little business. Keeping customers happy is #1 especially in whats supposed to be high end expensive vacations, actually if you want repeat business it doesnt matter what you spend! In my opinion a boat for $4000 a week should have updated mattresses and couches and they all were probably from the 70s. Very disappointed to say the least!!!!!!!!!!
March 3, 2013 at 1:05 am #1147762I have lowrance and use side more for looking for where to fish and down while trying to catch. Both are awesome in combination. The best part of down is seeing the definite seperation of marks on bottom, unlike 2d where the fish had to be off bottom quite a bit before you definitely saw the mark and were sure it was a fish and not a rock. After watching one of Doc Sampsons videos on 2D from the past saying here is a fish on the bottom, I would say if he watched that video he would have to retract and say its a rock, technology has come a long way!
February 16, 2013 at 8:52 pm #1142655B BK Put your money where your mouth is come on up and fish a couple NAIFC tourneys with the boys. They only weigh 16 total fish usually 8 of 1 species and 8 of another not 40 total. Some days fishing gets tough man and only the little ones bite. You should try fishing sometime instead of posting all day.

February 7, 2013 at 10:43 pm #1139155Cant go wrong with a Tuffy, well built boat for the money!!! I fish with a guy that has a 2060 and it has taken some serious punishment and still kickin. I have 1 that is 28 years old and beat it pretty good for its size and age and it is still going strong! Not everybody can afford a Ranger, plus a Tuffy is faster!!!
February 5, 2013 at 8:32 pm #1138421It might be an old cliche but it sure is a good 1. Well said 85LUND!
January 17, 2013 at 1:07 am #1131663Love the LX 5 and Marcum, the only thing I would do next season is sell 1 and get a 7.
January 14, 2013 at 11:57 pm #1130723Im pretty sure he is looking for ice tourneys. I know the NAIFC has 1 on Chisago lake Mar 10 and Lake Menomin in WI on Feb 24. Also Extreme Team Ice fishing has a full list of tourneys in Minnesota.
January 14, 2013 at 11:52 pm #1130722I would be waiting a long time for a green light to appear, I have 2 LX5’s and neither charger has an indicator light.
January 14, 2013 at 11:38 pm #1130719I use mine with a 4 year old navionics hot spots chip and it shows most everything.
December 9, 2012 at 10:07 pm #1118948I bought an HDS 5 this summer because it was all I could afford. It is definitely good enough, I would not wait. I have the gps, di, and si on at the same time and get a pretty good look at it all. Some of us will never have enough so why wait!!
