My vote is with Power Pro too. I got fed up with mono line twist and switched to PP. I use 20#/6 or 8 dia on all of my reels. I have caught several 20# pike when jigging for walleyes in Canada and have yet to lose a fish. In fact the line and knot outlast the jig. I wouldn’t use anything else. If the water is super clear I will tie a mono leader to the jig. No line twist for me!!

I bought mine from Bass Pro Shops. They have an auto-inflating model made by Mustang for Bass Pro. I paid $119 on sale which is the best deal I could find. I almost paid $180 for the Mustang label on ebay but I got the same thing from Bass Pro. I love it!! It’s so light that you forget that you are wearing it. Be sure to get the auto-inflation model – my opinion.

March 12, 2007 at 2:37 am #547629I used the Garmin 330 in a rental car while traveling through Ohio. It was flawless! We kept changing the route to avoid heavy traffic and it kept suggesting alternative routes. It was well worth the extra dollars to rent it.
March 11, 2007 at 11:46 pm #547553DirecTV sent a message out yesterday to update the firmware. Go into messages & setup, settings, phone, connect to the DVR service now and follow the instructions. Both of my DVRs updated successfully and are tracking the correct time.
February 19, 2007 at 3:31 am #538624I use Power Pro on all of my reels. I jig with the 15# strength without experiencing line twist – especially in Canada. Line twist is one of my top pet peaves. I landed a 25# northern last year on that set-up. I will tie a 6-8# mono leader if the fish are finicky.

December 14, 2005 at 12:37 am #403644I have been a cable-hater for a long time. I have Charter cable HS internet which is currently my only option. I have been a DirecTV subscriber for 5 years. I love it. I recently hooked up HD and love it even more. Life is good!
November 25, 2005 at 1:45 am #399088I love my 2003 1675 Explorer with a 60 hp 4-stroke Yamaha tiller. My buddy with a 17′ Alumacraft loves my boat too. I night fish with my gas motor so I gave up the extra HP and 1200 lbs that I would have gotten with the 70 HP. I bought another prop and got better holeshot and top speed so I am loving it. Plenty of room for kids and dog or 3 adults. I got the best boat combination for the money.
June 11, 2005 at 12:32 am #367551The Andersen launch is for employees only. A couple of blocks south is the Bayport Park where you can launch your boat for a fee. The Hudson launch is just over 94. That’s all I know of – anyone else?
May 23, 2005 at 10:10 pm #364544Crossing is pretty simple. The key to avoiding a search is to be HONEST and look the crossing guard in the eyes – without attitude. Look relaxed. You have to build their trust or they will order a search. No nightcrawlers in dirt – bedding only. No minnows. No potatos. 1 case of beer or one bottle of booze per person. There are limits on how many smokes but I just smoke cubans. Leave the guns at home if you don’t need them. Bring DL, passport or birth cert. The US search every X number of cars so I wish you luck there – no avoiding it if you are chosen.

October 3, 2003 at 9:12 pm #277554Where is the fuel sender gasket leak? I have a 2003 1675 and have noticed a strong gasoline odor when I open the front cargo compartment. Is this where the problem lies? Please advise.
