You are absolutely correct! I myself used to fish bass tournaments. I too was one of these idiots that thought they owned the river. I showed little or no respect for the “weekend angler”, or any other angler for that matter. It was all about the money and glory. Today, I am a weekend angler. I witness the tournament anglers trying to rule the water. I never realized what a jerk I was until I quit tournament fishing and started enjoying fishing again. The only thing that I can tell you is to record the boat numbers and a description of the boat and report it to the tournament director. Most tournament rules spell out that courtesy is part of the game. Not only are tournament anglers to respect on another, but they are definately supposed to respect you and I, the weekend angler. I do not mean to bash tournament anglers. The majority of them are great people as well as great anglers. It’s just like anything else, one bad apple spoils it for everyone.

Enjoy fishing and respect each other.

That’s respectable!!! On Saturday, we caught and released 1-8#-11oz, 1-6#-11oz, and 1-6#-10oz. We also released 11 other fish 20″ or larger. I figured that we had roughly 32#’s of fish on 6 fish. I just wanted to see how I fared against the pro’s.
