I have a small jumppack/jumpstarter that I use to power things in my portable. It has two 12v outlets and has days worth of power, more than a vex battery. I can power my portable fan/light and charge cell phones. I also have an inverter in the truck to charge my vexilar and other 110 volt itmes for the longer trips.

I picked up the Frabil hard case this year, it was 60 bucks, but worth the money. I have all 6 of my combos in there, with room for at least one more. Very durable, and I have thrown that thing in and out of the truck and onto the ice is some VERY cold ND weather.

Nothing better than the old Tecemsehs ….I have an old old 3 hp…..prime that baby about 10 times and starts on the second pull every time, no matter how cold.

It is obvious that there is a pressure difference forcing the water out of that hole, there is water running out of that like crazy. Seems to me a dam was opened, or something caused some major displacement of water. Most of those little guys are trying to swim down, they definitely do not want to be coming through that hole.

I second the no-knot snap idea. I love those things, very small and not so obviouse. When I do use a loop knot, I make it as small as possible, usually they are just big enough to slip a pencil in there.

I came across that exact scenario today. I have been on a pretty good sauger bite for the last 2 weeks. I decided this morning to try out the amazing perch bite I was on a month ago….turns out, I should have stayed with my Sauger bite. But that is what fishign is all about, unpredictable, and constantly changing. Tomorrow I might try the Saugers again.
