fyi, some people actually “get off” on trying to provoke others on forums such as this one. These people are called TROLLS. 1st tidbit of helpful info, ignore them and their belittling comments, they are just trying to reel people in for reactions so they can continue with elementary bantering.
June 3, 2012 at 12:32 pm #1073189wow, sunburned is right!! why in the world would lou call the DNR tip line if he was on private party land?? r u kidding me?
nice job lou, CT, i think most enjoy reading your posts, that jealousy comes from the people who wish they had as much opportunity as you to be on the water. I’m jealous of that, but wouldn’t think about trying to rub your face in the mud over trying to provide some general info, keep it up.
March 3, 2008 at 3:13 pm #661247not to be mean but glad i’m not the only one that’s experienced problems. My phone started to turn off whenever it wanted. This was when my wife was 8 1/2 pregnant and i was not happy. they sent my phone in and sent me a new one no charge. it’s been 3 months and it’s starting to do it again. not to mention about every 10 calls there is one where either me or the person on the other end has “robot voice.” hang up and call back and it’s okay. what a pain in the
March 3, 2008 at 2:56 pm #661240after reading these i just had to do it. cracked up when my name showed–
“Booty Pounder”
February 20, 2008 at 9:17 pm #657156there are a couple absolute PIGS in there!! man, i’d like to get into some of those.
January 9, 2008 at 4:28 pm #32484Seriously, my wife has a little bit of this disorder, but not that extreme. By all means, put your car in the ditch or into oncoming traffic before hitting a squirrel or rabbitt.
December 17, 2007 at 4:03 pm #23898that’s exactly how it is with my lab. i don’t mind hunting alone but i would like to hunt with groups at times, and it’s frustrating when the dog doesn’t work how they know to work.
December 3, 2007 at 8:03 pm #17594great looking dog sippi, how old? 2-3? looks fairly similar to mine that will be 4 in Jan. nice hunt!
December 3, 2007 at 7:59 pm #17592yeah, definitely able to tell by spur length but i didn’t know if there was any truth to the amount of lines or not.
December 1, 2007 at 4:03 am #16795holy schmoly! did that come from right across your road Steve? My wife bagged a small fork that ran into the side of the van in early Sept. right there.
November 26, 2007 at 7:04 pm #8441shouldn’t even post these pictures after the last few monsters shown, but oh well. a couple from my hunting party in SE MN
November 16, 2007 at 2:32 am #7898pic of our 1st earlier this year. leah will be 4 in Jan, and still has a lot of pup, still has a lot to learn, but does pretty darn good.
November 15, 2007 at 8:05 pm #7757golden tee and jag bombs. geez, if you didn’t like the ponies, i’d think about driving to your house tonight!
November 15, 2007 at 6:33 pm #10987I know quite a few that use bells, or there are beep collars that make a constant beep every 3-5 seconds and when dog stops will beep faster and faster.
November 15, 2007 at 4:01 pm #8984Jay, that dog of yours has to be the most photogetic dog i’ve ever seen!! that’s crazy how still and looking at the camera. Steve, did you scan that picture of you from a Polaroid?
November 15, 2007 at 3:49 pm #9056could be true, but is a guy with $10K to spend on a hunt really going to be driving a beat-up S-10?
November 15, 2007 at 3:45 pm #9053actually, i think there has been a point raised. that is, to not let the herd get totally out of control. i’m not old enough, but have heard plenty of stories about hunting in the 70’s when you used to have to “work hard” to get your meat. nowadays, the herd is getting to be out of control. like previously stated, some people love to eat venison but for one reason or another, can’t get out to hunt. why should they not be able to have someone give them venison for consumption. bottom line, if the herd isn’t taken care of through means of hunting, disease will come in and take care of everything for us. yes, deer will always get struck by vehicles, but if more doe are harvested each year, the chances are much less.
November 15, 2007 at 3:16 pm #8882Steve, i’ve found some good public lands to the south of roch area (and where i live). as i told you in a pm, i’ll be deer hunting these next 2 weekends, but maybe after that we’ll have to get together and knock a few down.
November 15, 2007 at 3:10 pm #9650sounds like a bunch of women in a hen house going back and forth. hows about we agree to disagree.
November 13, 2007 at 2:21 pm #13818that would be a blast. but you gotta think it’s very possible to tip when shooting/excitement is going on.
October 16, 2007 at 2:17 pm #28970Went out Sat. just me and the pooch. Hit the first bird up, winged it and he scrambled under a cow fence into some private land, bird gone. Second, and only other rooster we saw, got up 10 ft. in front of me and my justification was that it was just too easy of a shot , missed. Crappy weather Sunday lead to a day of football on the couch.

October 8, 2007 at 9:42 pm #31941Definitely familiar with that area. My hometown is Lake Crystal so you could say I’ve been around the backroads all over that area. My parents are still there and Pops hunts and bags birds all the time. I’m sure this year is going to be an awesome one all over southern mn. good luck & safe hunting to all.
