Glad you could make over to our area. Let me know if you are ever nearby again. I’d love to join you on the water. I know the boys downriver are still pounding the bass, but since the snow set in I’ve been switching focus over to whitetail. Here’s the last bass of the season (Sept 26)for me.

Did you ever make it up to Elephant? The ten miles of dirt probably doesn’t matter to a guy already putting on over a 1000 miles! We fish there every year for at least a week. Lots of nice bass, but so far nothing over 5 pounds. What leads you to Elephant? As long as you are in the area, hit the Mississippi anywhere between Brainerd and Anoka for fantastic fall bass.

We typically catch a couple each year on the sippi while bass fishing with poppers. 18-21″ fish and the darker/stormier the day the better.

    Chris,
We are heading into Gabro/Bald Eagle next week. I know these are a little different than the water you are fishing, but could you throw a little advice to pull crappies and walleyes out of those lakes. What depth are those crappies in now? Sounds like a big cold front is moving in by Monday. Will that push them down much?

Eyes, Bronzies, Cats, Panfish…they all love JimmyD. These two fish came in Monday night. One on that drab white river bug and the other on an olive. You boys are right, they look like works of art and you almost hate to toss in the river in fear of losing. However, watching a monster bronzie taking flight in efforts to spit the hair is worth every ounce of Dezurik sweat!
