I thought mine was the only one doing that but she took out the curb. Tough lesson learned SLOW DOWN. At least it was learned witout anyone getting hurt.

Sure would like to hear more on this, guess I have missed something. Any place to fish seems better to me than not fishin. No arguments only looking for information
February 2, 2009 at 4:06 am #743547Fished in one today and was very impressed. Had bad feelings about the no floor but was suprised and really liked it. The anchors are the best I have ever seen and very easy to put up.
December 22, 2008 at 9:34 pm #730876My two cents is for shake in a gallon bag with flour then drop in a gallon bag of eggs then drop in a gallon bag of saltine cracker crumbs. sprinkle with cavenders greek seasoning or even just salt. The cavenders is great for deer steaks so good to have on hand. also easy clean up.
March 18, 2008 at 1:57 am #666403Let me tell you what not to buy and thats a Poulan. I only needed a saw to cut 4×4’s I get free from work for the fire pit. I saw the wild thhing for $149.00. Thought hell I don’t really need a good saw just for these. Long story short I bought a 10 dollar cheeper saw beacuse it didn’t have “wild thing” on the bar, same damn saw just no purple and its a pile. Wish I would have asked for advice first.

I agree, where is the ticket???
February 14, 2007 at 8:11 pm #536906I can only speak for my American Angler. I got it as a gift about 10 years ago. It sat for a year because “I ain’t using that damn thing” Gave it a try and I would never go back. As I said I can’t compare as I have never had a reason to purchase another knife. Blades are even still sharp, cut up a 17” eye and a respectable crappie last night.
Gary, there is no difference between them and a meat knife other than the blades on a fish knife are more flexible. My blades actually fit in my meat knife and work.February 13, 2007 at 9:42 pm #536407I like them cubed and deep-fried; they have the same consistency of a halibut and taste very good. I have to agree they are a blast on the end of a line, especially when they hit the 7 and 8-foot mark.

That is a big walleye!
Now I’m not sure where on the Columbia that was caught, but I thought I heard of some HUGE walleye coming from near where the Columbia empties into the Pacific,
It was caught just below the McNary Dam about 7 miles out of Hermanston OR in Umitilla. I caught a 12 pounder out of the same place last year. Also know for large sturgeon in that area. I am working on getting the pics of my 7 footer and 8 footer on a disc so I can post.
February 6, 2007 at 11:36 pm #533622Thanks for the info, TheguN. We will be making a full day of it. Any one heard of any eye action in this area?

using buckshot. You don’t see too many videos of that style of hunting for a reason.
We also used buckshot only. I think the reason you don’t see videos on it is because it is more to harvest and thin does. Does don’t sell products nor do they make people cross state lines to pay large tag prices, but they sure taste good.

February 5, 2007 at 2:30 pm #28847We hunted with dogs in North Carolina. There would be 30 – 40 people and at the end of the day, we would cut up all the deer harvested with a back ham going to anyone with dogs. The rest of the meat was put in plastic bags and put in this huge shelving unit to be drawn out of a hat for. Every hunter went home with meat every hunt. This is how I learned to deer hunt. A lot different now.

February 3, 2007 at 2:42 pm #532220As a first time visitor to the pond this year I thought it was odd at first to see people come in and pay 10 for a truck and 25 for a wheel house. As I sat in the resort having several waiting for our shack to open, I saw a ton of $$$$ change hands and no one even blinked about it. I think everyone would be happier with a system of a supply and demand scale. If you drive on through my resort, no snow, no bridges, say 5 bucks. If I have to put out a bridge or 2 I can see the 10. I don’t think anyone wants something for nothing, but no one enjoys paying for nothing either, cut some slack where slack is due and collect dues where they are deserved. Just another view.

January 31, 2007 at 10:07 pm #530886Yep I think Big D is talking C.L near Waseca MN. Chancer, please post or PM your results from fishing C.L by Mason City IA. I was born and rasied there and it sounds like the eye fishing has gotten real good. Could be worth a trip down and fish by the island. Is the Dome bait shop still by Ventura? Been gone almost 20 years. Thanks,
January 27, 2007 at 7:24 pm #528851Not to highjack your post, but a couple years back I was on hard water on a bucket in Minnesota City with tip ups and I did the best rain dance you have ever seen. Felt like a bee in my boot stinging my toe. Was the first and last time I wore those eletric socks and I am anti battery to keep warm.
January 26, 2007 at 7:10 pm #528549can get em on a e-mail but can’t even get em to the post this time. Click on image, correct? Gives me a box for the http adderss??
January 25, 2007 at 9:41 pm #528063Check page 11 in the MN regs. Must be under 16 years old and the fish had to be leaglly caught. Also walleys are not on the list to keep in a tank unless bought from a dealer. Then you can be over 16 but need to carry the recipt.

Leave, hell the guy will be retired before they put together a team to win. Really sucks too cause KG is a work horseJanuary 18, 2007 at 5:43 pm #524690A few other .02 cents, I just looked them up. I have used red for 3+ years, just my choice.
1) “During extensive underwater testing, we found that every species in the test tank would strike dark red more than any other color combined. This dark red color simulates the Gill Flash of feeding fish. This is what stimulates the natural feeding response”.
2)”Fish are naturally attracted to blood. The sight of red means “injured bait” or “easy meal” to fish”.
3) “As fish feed the gill plates flare exposing the gills. Because the gills just moved, like any muscle there is more blood in them. This phenomenon is called gill flash, the signal from one fish to another; “I’m eating, you’re not”!
4)”Red is one of the first colors in the spectrum to fade away in water. So theoretically the red hook/line would be harder to see”.
Either way when you run one in your thumb, it will make you see

Smith and Wesson makes a hell of a revolver. Model 29 comes nickel plated but barrel is only 8 3/8… only lol
Shot one and reloaded rounds for it for years. Find anything yet?January 11, 2007 at 5:27 pm #5214532 more cents worth. I called 888-646-6367 (MN DNR Headquarters) After talking with 3 people and getting two calls back this is what I came up with MN Leg.Rules Sub 4 with heavy emphasis on Fish having statewide length limits was the answer for you may eat perch on the lake. It was backed up with MN Leg. Rules Sub 5d again with the emphasis on Fish having statewide length limits. Unlike #2 person who got very with me when I asked her name and told me I could not post anything a DNR official said without going through their public relations dept, Robin from enforcement was happy to dig and find answers and have them known.
As said earlier by many, very grey and up to interpretation, but just some educated ammo.
