July 5, 2011 at 5:44 pm #978367Right click on the My Computer icon on the desktop, then select properties. Click on the Hardware Tab, then Device Manger tab. Look for the printers. Is there a yellow exclamation point ! ? If so right click and select update driver. Are there any unknown devices or yellow exclamation points ! ? If so right click and select update driver.

Slow, slow, slow and slow for me. Water temp in low 50’s fished from red wing to lake city
You’re not the only one. My 1st fish of the year was a Sheep. Might be a sign of a bad year to come. We caught 3 sheeps, 1 white bass, and a cigar sauger. Fished from Coville down to Maiden Rock Flats. It was a very slow day, but still nice day to be out. Everyone we talked to got skunked too .
July 9, 2010 at 3:09 pm #885645Last Friday when we had a strong SE wind we were smoking the saugers on the drop off near the North Bouy at HH (Hanson’s Harbor. They were in 16 to 20 FOW. Good luck and post a report when you get back as I will be heading out Monday afternoon. They would only bite on a chartreuse Phelp’s Floater with a 3 foot snell tipper with a minnow. Anything else, not even a nibble! We caught a 3 man limit in less then 2 hours. We had several triple headers, which is rare. One of the best days, I’ve had in a while. I find that fishing the windiest side of the lake is the most productive.
June 24, 2010 at 12:13 pm #882438You, don’t know how good it is until you have it. I can still smell the fumes from the last batch. Here’s the recipe I made up:
Ingredients needed:
2 quarts water
1/2 cup non iodized salt
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4cup cinnamon
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon orange peel
1 teaspoon ground cloves
Walleye or Sauger fillets with the scales intact (about 8 fillets)
1/4 Butter or 1/4 stick of margarine
Some honeyPour all of the ingredients above into the plastic bowl or bowl. Mix the mixture until ingredients are fully dissolved. Set fish filets into bowl with scale side up. Make sure filets don’t overlap. Cover bowl with cover or plastic wrap. Set bowl into refrigerator overnight.
Uncover bowl. Drain out marinade. Remove fish and rinse with cold water. Set fish onto pan and pat with a paper towel to dry fish. Let stand for 1 hour.
Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt butter in a bowl. Spread some white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon onto the fish fillets. Pour and spread some honey onto the fish fillets.
Cook fish in oven for 15 minutes or so.
Put the wood chips in the smoker and smoke for about 2 hours or until golden brown.Try it, I like this better then fried walleye.

Licensing
Canada-Minnesota Border Waters: Anglers who have a Minnesota resident or nonresident license may fish only the Minnesota portion of Canada’s border waters.
Other Borders: Minnesota has a reciprocal agreement with each of its bordering states: Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Residents of Minnesota or a bordering state may fish throughout the waters bordering the two states only if they possess a valid resident license from their resident state.
Nonresident anglers who have a nonresident license from either Minnesota or the bordering state may also fish throughout the border waters between the two states. Anglers may launch and fish from either shore and may transport their catch by the most direct route to the state in which they are licensed. This includes children who are not required to have a license. Lake Superior is not covered under this agreement and is not considered a border water.
April 22, 2010 at 3:36 pm #865987Are you talking about the thumb screw that attaches the plate base (mounted on the boat) that locks to the motor base? If so, it looked like the release lever never touched the thumb screw.
April 22, 2010 at 11:57 am #865903I took the outer shell off, and all seems well. It is a very simple mechanical system. Once the motor is down, all you should have to do is push the release pedal in, then down, and pull up the motor right? Well, no matter how hard I push the release pedal in and down, it only wiggles the release cams that locks the motor in.
March 25, 2010 at 8:48 pm #857319I searched the whole PDF file and found nothing stating certain dates other than the May 29th opening so you should be good to go on this date.
March 25, 2010 at 8:16 pm #857300This is from the Minnesota Outdoor News – Water levels are up on the Mississippi River, but it is fishable. Hair jigs tipped with fatheads or blade baits are producing sauger in 16 to 25 feet and a few walleyes in 10 to 15 feet. Better areas are the High Bridge, Baypoint Park, Hay Creek, the “Y” towards the dam, and below the dam on the Wisconsin side. Most boats are being put in on the Wisconsin side, but the Covill Park access on the Minnesota side is open as well.
February 22, 2010 at 9:51 pm #844967Who is the Manufacturer, what is the make and model of drive?
Have you tried using Windows Update to see if a newer driver is available?
When you are free I could try using remote assistance to connect to your PC if you have a broadband or DSL connection.
I would need your email address and we can set up a time. You should be able to fix this without buying a new DVD / CD-ROM Drive.
Find out the make and model. I’ll see if I can find a driver then. What Operating System is it? XP or Vista?
Perhaps go into Device Manager and uninstall the device, restart it. See if windows loads the driver, if not have the PC search the Internet for the driver. Then check for any yellow exclamation points.
February 22, 2010 at 5:45 pm #844873Right click (press the right mouse button) on the My Computer Icon on the desktop. Click properties, then click the Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager. From here click on the + in front of DVD/CD – ROM Drives. Is your DVD/ CD-ROM drive listed? Is there a yellow exclamition mark in front of the drive listed here? If so your computer has a confilict with the drive.
Double click the left mouse button on the My Computer icon on the desktop to open Windows Explorer. Is your DVD/ CD-ROM listed here?
Was the DVD/ CD-ROM working recently? Did anything change on your computer lately?February 4, 2010 at 6:13 pm #839713I would strongly suggest a 64 bit Operating System as Windows 7 is the very last 32 Bit OS that will be released. You will never run any newer OS’s than 7. And once Microsoft doesn’t release anymore updates for the 32 Bit version of Windows 7, you will never run anything newer. You will have to buy a 64 Bit then.
January 27, 2010 at 9:11 pm #837115I stay on the east side at Sugar Point. They are very reasonably priced.
August 28, 2009 at 4:09 pm #801165I have 6 and 7. Will give you 6 in exchange for a free guided fishing trip.
July 25, 2009 at 3:12 am #793040I was just north of Alma Thursday and the water was more than deep enough everywhere I fished! I caught a very nice Northern on a red and white spoon with a white twister tail on it. Got her right on the edge on the pads.
