I have a red check connection light on one bank. I checked the fuse and the connections and all is good. How can I check to see if that bank is shot?

Your battery might just be low enough the charger does not recognize it. just take a regular charger and hook it to the battery on the bank that is red and see if it turns orange. If the battery is too low as far as the charger is concerned it isn’t hooked up.

More than likely it was gearlube. engine oil wont leak out of the engine unless you lay it down on the wrong side or a gasket has failed. I would take it and have the lower unit pressure tested. there may be fishing line behind the propeller that has ruined a seal.

You can feel free to drop your boat at our Chippewa falls location after hours if you like. We also have a technician that has attained yamaha’s highest rating of master tech.

The weight of the boat if you read is under 3000 pounds. add the engine batteries fuel and people and that adds up.

Does your engine have power trim? if it doesn’t you will need to set the angle of your motor “trimmed out” more. What you are feeling is the prop torqueing the boat. the motor needs a more positive trim angle. If it does have trim just trim out after you get up and running and the boat should level out.

More than likely if the engine was winterized properly that is just the fogging oil that the engine didn’t burn. it is just getting rinsed out of the motor.

The 1850’s have a fuel selector switch on the dash for the gauge that needs to have a tank selected before the gauge will read.

It would be best to run wires all the way back to your starting battery and use a 3 amp fuse to fuse the circuit. If you hook it to your “light” circuit you will need to drive around with your light switch on so that the circuit is energized. If your boat is hard to get wires pulled to the back you could just use the power from the cig plug but as your battery gets weaker, starting your engine may cause the unit to ‘flash over’ and freeze up.

You need to make sure that all the wires that you put on the battery are clean. The first wires that you put on the battery should be your battery cables for your engine, follow that with the rest of your wires. If you have wing nuts on your battery take them off and throw them away. Replace them regular nuts and tighten them. None of the wires should move or wiggle. If the problem still continues you may want to have the charging system of your engine looked at. It may not be charging at all or it may be overcharging enough to ruin the batteries.

You need the 14.25 prop the other size is for the smaller gearcases.

Also see if the new SHO 4stroke 150 is available. .

To be clear the SHO engines are bass engines and the offshores are for the walleye boats. The normal 150 has plenty of power and is a very reliable engine. You will not be sorry you went with it.

The engines and the components in the engine are designed to handle it. You just need to keep up on the maintenance of your filters because they are going to trap water and other contaminants. They are what is protecting your investment. Mixing the fuel doesn’t seem to me like that is a good idea. If the octane isn’t correct the engine will detune itself so that detonation doesn’t occur and ruin the motor.

What about running non oxy 91 premium. Should be good to go?

If the engine is not designed to run 91 it will only build carbon. All of the yamahas are made to burn up to 10% ethanol. The only engines that require 89 octane are the SHO 150, 225, 250, the f200 lightweight, the f250 3.3 liter, the f300 4.2 liter offshore and the f350 v-8. Everything else runs on 87 octane.

Built-in Bow Light – That’s what I was hoping the 2014 MX would have, although loking at it, not sure how that’s legal with the trolling motor plate obstructing it?

Do airplanes need to see it? or just the people around you?

I’d like to purchase my first TUC rod and thought I’d check with everyone on here to try to pick out the best rod for my typical fishing.

I do a an even mix of fishing in and out of the shack, and my usual haunts kick out Bluegills, Crappies, and Perch in the same spots.

    Any recommendations?

Todd when you stop in to pickup your boat take a look at all the ones that we have in stock. It’s nice to actually feel the rods for yourself. We have quite a selection.

Is that the XL Sean? (not notched version) Same here with my WX1850. I think some of it is attributed to road grime/gravel getting in there while traveling,(sitting in the crotch)

It is Not the notched version

This is the scuffbuster on our ride and drive 1850. It fits perfect between the bow eye and first contour in the hull.

I really like the jacket but the front access on the bibs is limited. If you need to take a leak you have to almost fully undress. Not ideal if it is raining. I ordered a different set of bibs. The jacket is excellent.

I agree. Also if you are taller the bib straps are not long enough so they pull the bibs up. I extended my straps so the bibs stay down a little more, otherwise my 2x looked like i was ready for a flood

    3) Can, lets say the new 1199, be networked with an older 757 that I have and share waypoints/maps?

No it can not be networked
