    we’ll be there the 20th-27th….Silver Birch, if we happen to cross paths. i’ll either be in a yellowish Necky kayak fishing, or the rental pontoon from there….

    dam the luck on the tagged fish! after how many years we’ve been going there tho…i’d be just happy to see a tag to be honest!

    Well, no tagged fish caught. Learned where they are released (not sure how reliable source is tho), but didn’t go fish there due to how far away it is from where we stay. Didn’t fish as much as I thought we would again, catching all the small crappie kinda dulled our motivation. We did however boost the economy in Chetek, at least all the establishments located off the lakes! Already can’t wait for next year’s trip to Chetek….

    Well, its good to hear that at least one has actually been caught. One of these years, I’d at least like to catch a tagged one, just to say I have…..

    Good Luck at finding them Whitey….definitely post if you do!!!! 3 days till I start trying…..

    Well, didn’t get as much fishing in as I was hoping for, but we did catch a bunch of crappies and gills, but they were all small ones. Four of them were probably keepers, IF you were catching them all that size, so they went back in for next year. Relatives staying next door at the Silver Birch cottage did catch a decent catfish off the dock over there. Heavy rain and high winds may have affected the fishing mid-week. On the bright side, I was able to consume many many adult beverages during the week

    Thanks for the info….hopefully i’ll be able to post after the trip that we caught a bunch of fish…..

    i have a buddy getting married during this trip, so won’t be able to fish quite as much as i would like, but will be a fun trip regardless…

    hopefully those crappies will be biting the last week of july as well. we’ll be heading up to chetek the last week of july, staying at the silver birch inn…..
