I tried them out again today and I’m realizing that the “shadow” is really just reflection coming back at the eyes.
Maybe the non mirror lens would not have that reflection effect?

Just wanted to thanks for the good feedback and opinions. I’ve done a little more research myself and I’m headed to the Big C in the morning to pick up 2 of them. I’ll report back when my guys have had a chance to use them.
Average, Do you have the 7″ black&white non-panning version? Looks like that one is $139 right now. Thanks
I have an 80 pound vantage that I would never want to be without but I really only use it for boat positioning and finese jigging. Sounds like the kicker is in your future.
I dont think you could go wrong with either choice. Depends a little on what you want to do with it. I’ve been running an 04 Etec 75hp for 2 years now. It has the newer style tiller handle on it. My brother has an 06 Yamaha 60hp tiller. That motor runs like a dream, is very quiet and he’ll basically let it run all day when fishing. Mine has not had one issue. It starts very fast, runs smooth, is a little louder of course, but when I want to get up and go, I just twist the throttle and I am gone! In my opinion there is no comparison when it comes to hole shot and power. We pull a tube and skiers with it in the summer so its a great fit for my young family. I do wish that it would troll down a little slower – only about 1.5 to 1.8 mph. I have to use a drift sock to go slower. That yamaha is a great smooth and quiet fishing machine, and I’m a little jealous some times – but I am always first to the fishing spot… I’d choose the Etec for my next boat.
Thanks for your input guys. I am going to put the 3 transducers on tonight and will do some testing the next time out. Maybe I’ll have to just use one at a time, but it will be interesting to see what happens. I’ll report back after the test.
In the mean time, if anyone else has any input, feel free to share. Thanks, Dave
I just installed the new “puck” a week ago. Only one trip so far, but I think it is just great. It’s not a super solid mount, but then again with a power drive, nothing is a rock solid mount. I put my ram mount stabilizer on today and that improved it. The best part is how clean the deck is when you have the motor off. Very nice design.
That was great! I just moved up to blue connectors myself and will be installing 3 ‘new’ units next week in my boat. A 7600c, 25c, and 332c. Is there a great simple link to help me do this style, or is really simple enough to do? I am really wondering if there are any parts that I should obtain before I jump in on the install, so that I am not looking for parts in the middle of the project.
Thanks so much for your helpful post…
Matt, Is there a simple way to request/suggest maps for WI? I have a couple that to me, make perfect sense in terms of “for the masses”. Thanks, Dave
Only limitation is Color. Great price, great unit. For those with color it’s hard to go back to gray.
Lots of good info there guys. I am also looking for new tires right now (at a good price of course).
For what its worth, my Goodyear RTS have 107,000 miles on them and they still look pretty good. I did rotate them about every 10-12K. My brother had 112K on his Goodyear ATS tires when he replaced them with the same. I have heard some bad feedback regarding goodyear but I can honestly say that they have done me very well.
Wade, could I use the mp3 function to pump music into my boat’s stereo system? Would it take headphones so that my boys could use it on the way to the lake? Thanks
I totally lit up my Warrior last summer. Went to http://www.superbrightleds.com/ and bought a variety of fixtures. Good light, very little battery draw. I replaced some of the original fixture bulbs with new led bulbs also. Have fun!
