Mav…. Good to see that in this time of international stress you have resolved your issues in the boat and on the river.

Mavzer, Thanks for the heads up! It is a good thing to share knowledge earned through experience. I too have some advice to share with you, mine is based on the experience of being a happy veteran of 40 years of marriage and counting. I noticed in your profile, you listed the things you like and love, they all are great things to love, I am thinking, now that you are engaged, it might be wise to move the last on the list to the top. Take care. Good Luck on rhe river.

Greatplains; I am not very familiar with replying to posts. I did send you one this forenoon but not sure I processed it right. Bottom line is, my normal fishing partner is working on a “Habitat For Humanity” house next week so I am on my own. But I hasten to explain I am not a tounament level fisher man. I do like the Lake City area, during the bite we got to Lake City about once a week and mostly trolled down the West Bank from the Landing for about a mile or two. My present plans for next week are to explore the Croix near the narrows by myself. Did so alone a couple of weeks ago got a few small Sauger and surprised self with a 34 inch Muskie while playing with leadline and # 9 Shadrap.(released of course)

I am not sure if your memo was to the more experienced folks or was a call to almost any one who can fill and empty seat. I would consider it a learning experience. ( guess I am experienced but not a learned fisherman- more of a lets see if they are biting) A bit about my self; am retired, married, three married sons, six grandchildren, live in Apple Valley (since 1978) have a 17.5 Smokercraft with 75 Merc; love to fish. And thankfully in shape enough to launch and load my own boat and spend the day on the water when ever I get the notion. All that said, I would have some questions. Do you travel to Lake City or overnight. What are the fees, What time do you start and finish.
