Sorry guys. I have 2 hours of perfect video. The downside though is only about 1 minute of crystal clear audio before I adjusted to an external mic and no sound from their.

If any lip readers are out their I would have no issue uploadong the video.

    Sorry Brian and all.

    Let the catfishing begin.

Yes any way you would of approached live streaming anything in the basement of Obbs would be a very tough task. Even with the best equipment you can get. Great place, but between that fridge noise which made my zoom/boom mic fight over Joel or the fridge, to the lighting (did not want to shine lights in Joel’s eyes), and a poor internet WiFi signal, it just was not the ideal location to stream live video.

On the upside though, I did record the entire meeting (no cuts in and outs like the live footage) in 1920 X 1080 HD . For Mplspug or Brian K, I would have no issue burning up a couple DVD’s and dropping them in the mail if the interest is truly their. If more would like to see the meeting I would even upload the entire 2+ hours to the Tube. It would be in 10 minute (+ or -) segments though. I still have not looked at the recorded footage, but I know it will be a 100% better than the live.

Short of that I thought the meeting went off with out a hitch, very informative, and put together extremely well. It was nice to meet up with new (other) cat-guys also. Thanks Joel~

I know lol, just having some fun with downtown pug.

I figured it was just some trash. Good thought Larry.

Sorry Pug. I went to rate your video 5 stars on the Tube and my mouse ventured on to the 4 stars. I hate how sensitive those rating stars are. We need about 5-10 guys to submit 5 star rating now.

Edit: Nope, I was able to browser back and submit again!

    Nice video and pics Pug.

I have to ask though, are you using a Pink fishing rod in one of the pictures? I can not quite make out what it is, but it is pink and looks like a fishing rod lol!

    Keep us updated dude!

That is a nice flat Dan

    BrianK and Larry thanks!

Actually Brian I do not think I do. Maybe a couple weeks back but now I do not think I do. When using 11.875″ suckers, and sinking the bait right in structure, you would think 6ozs is needed just to keep the sucker in place. It does not move with 6ozs but I feel it would not move right now with 5 or maybe even 4. All I can say though is when the sucker started to perk up before the flat grabbed it, 3oz’s would have been drug right in the snag . I also have cornered the market in 6oz bank sinkers (got a tray full ) and have been keeping my 3, 4, 5 no-rolls, banks and flats for other locations (which I am limited on at the moment).

I am from Princeton MN sir and this flat was caught on the MN river.

    Thanks again guys!

Man some nice fish. Good year so far!

I have a fish worth posting and figured I would throw my hat in the ring. LOL

47″x30″ She was just in from a night of feeding and came in a hair over 50lbs

    Get this

Blue rod, 80lb Power Pro (last years hi-vis I might add), 6ozs of bank weight sinker and a 10/0 Octopus Gamakatsu hook fresh and out the box

I do both and use a soft retractable 60″ tape from Heartland Payment Systems??

Neat little deal. Wish I had two.

How long does it take to use 100?

    About 2-3 weeks

I have only been out about 5 times this season, but have burned threw about 130-150 already. Gifting, kick back to the captain(s) and personal use they can go fast. If I get a ride in a boat I always bring the bait (well unless told not to ) and leave what is left to the captain as a gratis. I figure about 55-60 bullies this year went to this so far. I gave out a bunch to some guys who where going out after the BPCL and have set some up who e-mailed me in need of some and where willing to meet up in the north west metro.

This time a year they go quicker and I am sure quicker for some others than they have for me. In about 45 minutes I am going down to get another 60 or so fresh stock for the weekend. You can never have enough bullies man

Very cool system Mr. Flatcaster. I would say just a very smart catguy

Must know them or have cool neighbors. Mine would have ratted me out by now. Or worse, the utility meter reading guys and gals who do not bother to take a closer look at what it is.

Nice set-up and thanks for share!

I was going to post that video somewhere else when someone asked, but it is not my video to post. Great idea though . Props to Larry.

Just imagine if you could get wal-mart, Bella’s, Bass Pro and Fleet Farm to pick up and sell the “Cat Pad” for ya Larry. I am sure it has to be worth at least a new jet boat

I have heard these stories from a good friend. When they built one of the bridges down in St Paul (High Bridge I think), he claims the divers where scared by huge fish (cats).

Folk lore is what I added it up to.

The picture is kind of sketchy though.

    Thanks for posting
